“Mike?!” I whipped around and looked at him, but he shrugged, looking just as stunned as I felt! “This is going to change things, isn’t it?!” I sighed, feeling as if I could just dig a hole, crawl into it and cover myself with dirt! My mind was all over the place. What was the council going to say?! Fu.ck! The single males were not going to leave me the hell alone!
“I need new contacts!” It was all I could think to do! I needed some of those that changed the colour of your eyes. Quickly finding Jeremy’s address book, I called and made an appointment. My eyes had been getting a lot better and I no longer needed the same contact lenses I was using when Jeremy took me there. I could just say that I needed an eye test and take it from there.
