I was actually nervous! While we were going through the entire council dating thing, it was different. I was dating a couple of guys, and it wasn’t because I wanted to. I also thought I wanted to get revenge. After I felt the mate bond with Caleb at a place that was sacred to me, things changed. Everything changed. For one, Mike wasn’t driving me to the restaurant. Caleb was picking me up!
Oh, goddess, I hoped he wasn’t picking me up in that old sportscar of his! I always thought it was so cliché when we were younger! The young man with the red classic sportscar that drove way too fast! I straightened out my skirt and took one last look in the mirror. I had been avoiding thinking about our date all day by keeping busy.
