I noted Mike’s raised brow and amused look at seeing me and Caleb holding hands, but I just rolled my eyes at him on our way out. We made our way to the rogue center first and as soon as we walked in, I knew there was no way I could put Caleb’s pack through the same process. We couldn’t lock them up like animals until they submitted.
“This is amazing, Riley.” Caleb openly gawked at the beautiful home we created for the rogues. We didn’t just lock them away in dark cells. It was all part of my project to change things. The cells were turned into rooms and the walls were covered in decorative wall paper. When I originally chose the forest pattern, I thought I was going over the top a little, but as soon as it all started coming together, it looked stunning.
