“I can’t. I’ve already rejected her.” Carl frowned. I noted recently that he was doing really well, but something was missing. She was missing. Although their relationship wasn’t perfect, they had spent a long time together. “I don’t know if the damage we did to each other could ever be fixed. I’m glad to hear she’s doing well. I will talk to the children. They have to fix things with their mom.” Carl looked into the distance and I nodded.
If he felt he couldn’t be with Margaret anymore, it was entirely his choice. It was nice that he offered to speak to the children. Margaret and her children had to fix what was broken between them. Margaret had to return to her pack at some point, and it would only benefit everyone if they could all get along.
