Chapter 9

1334 Words
Cole's POV A whole month since I am thrown in here. I have actually heard of this girl a lot. How she loves partying. How she was a badass somewhere and out of blue, she is all set to become the Queen. I was actually curious to see her. To know her. So I pre planned this attack. It was not even an attack. Because no one is killed. No harm intended. We were just breaking bones. My pack loves to do that and they enjoy when it is against the Royal Army. When I saw her for the first time, I did not expect for her to be so beautiful. I was hoping to see some average looking girl but dang she was so beautiful. I played pretend. To see and witness how strong she actually is. Because to be a Queen, a lot is required. And she did not let me down. I came in here because I wanted to see the system. If I were to attack the Royal Army aiming straight for the Queen, then I should have a plan. And to have a plan, I should know about the pack first. I observed that the front line warriors is all we need to cross. Getting the Queen is easy. I close my eyes as I think of my escape. I feel like it is finally my time. "Good Evening!" I hear her voice. And I open my eyes again. She takes long strides despite her feminine form. One for sure, she is such a badass that I wonder if her mate is still not found or if he doesn't want her. I look at her brown eyes and wonder how chocolate actually tastes! "Have you had your lunch?" She asks me again. I smile at her. Because I absolutely love to get on her nerves. I know it, because I can literally see it in her face. If there is anything in the world that I am fond of, is getting on her nerves. I love to irritate this girl right here. Because soon, I plan on attacking her. And this time, it would all be real. She punches me straight in my stomach. And I still look back at her and smile. She is away from a full blown frustration by the breadth of a hair. And I am very much enjoying! "Fight back!!" She yells and she punches me in the jaw this time. Her punches are actually getting stronger. Like she is getting trained. And now, I think she is at least fit to be a Queen. "I feel like I am hitting a wall!" She says and this time, hits me or more like slaps me. It is actually funny how she slaps. Her hand is tiny. But it does pain. Note that! And as usual, she grips a fistful of my hair and forcefully makes me look into her eyes. I smile at her. She is always looking into my eyes. As if she has never seen someone's eyes this way. I don't even know what colour are my eyes because I was never fond of my body, but now.. I just want to know what my eye colour is. "Fight back! Because I don't like to win without an equal opponent" She is yelling now. I take a gulp and she misses noticing it. She is too busy trying to read me as she stares into my eyes. And I laugh mentally. I guess I must be a charming man. "You want me to fight?" I try to talk and it comes out all groggy. And I am surprised my vocals still work. "Yeah! So I can defeat you once again, and this time .. I plan on showing people around that I can really do it!" She shrugs. I smile. She has high expectations on herself and I really hate to break it all for her. I just want to leave right now and yet, she has no idea. "Really?" I ask her. The princess eagerly nods and as she was about to say something, my mind finally said, "it's time!" I first try to sit well in this dumb chair. This is kind of a tad bit small for my posture. I start stretching my muscles enough for these ropes to get tighter to a point they tear themselves up. And this is so easy. My hands were itching to do this since a month. And it is finally the day!! I look straight into her eyes. And then, I smirk. I smile again and stretch myself just as I do before a workout. I tap my feet and yeah, they are still working. I look at her and she is staring at the silver ropes on the floor. And just as I am about to talk, she looks at me. So I smile. "Good Evening, to you too, Evelyn King!" I smirk. She blinks. Twice she blinks. I walk towards her. My legs feel like they are made of jelly. I clench and unclench my fists just to make my blood circulate well again. She is still staring at me. I raise my eyebrows and she is looking at me confused. Her stare once again travels from me to silver ropes. Silver ropes to me again. "You wanted me to fight you back, didn't you?" I smirk at her. I cannot feel my wolf. Of course. Has to be the silver in my system. But I know. He will come around. Because this, is not the first time my body is dealing with silver. I am also a survivor of wolvesbane. Amusing, right? I look at Evelyn in peaks of frustration. One point she misses, is that her brain works way too faster when she is at frustration. Not good at all times. Because it is at that exact moment that you do mistakes. Like she is about to do now. She starts trying to hit me at obvious pace and place. It is slowly getting so easy to block all her moves. I wonder, if she is giving this a thought. I block a punch and hold her left hand. Then grab her right hand too. She is still looking into my damn eyes! What colour are they? "You are getting distracted" I smirk at her. She gets into her senses again and this time, she stomps her foot on mine with such force that for a second, I see stars. Wow! She is strong. Did not see this coming. Before I regain my posture, she punches me hard in the gut. And as I try my best to look at her before she attacks again, she surprises me by grabbing my neck and pushing me down so I am on my knees now. Maybe I should put a little force. But this girl looks like someone I admire. A girl who is an equal opponent. I want to hurt her but I don't want to, at the same time. But I think of my people again. My Rogues. The people who never intended harm to anyone. All we want, is an identity. Being Rogue, is not being an inferior. Being Rogue, is not being weak. Being Rogue, does not always lead us to death by other pack members. With all such thoughts in my head and heart, I stand up quickly surprising the girl before me. I don't see her beauty anymore. I don't see her Royal title anymore. All I see is someone who hates the rogues enough to wipe out the existence of them. And I will not let that happen. I see Evelyn raising her right arm to punch me again but this time, I hold her hand, pull her towards me, and once she is closer to me, I grab her shoulder. And in an instant, push her to the wall with such force that I wonder if I broke any bones of her.
