“Right?” Kai insisted again. This time, his eyes even glared into mine to back him up. He was waiting for me to side with him, he hadn’t apologized for not backing me up before but he was really confident that I should back him up.
“I mean, it’s still worth a try,” I stated and his face lost the power of expressions. He went frozen for a moment and then straightened his back to start the engine. I knew I had upset him severely but since he never cared how badly I was hurt, or how alone I was now, I think I shouldn’t care as well.
