Chapter Four

Late evening Liana took a shower to freshen up and get ready for her dinner date with the dashing Mr. Diamond. Choosing a dress to wear wasn't easy; after trying on six different outfits she settled for her yellow sleeveless dress, its length was above her knees, exposing her lean thighs. She chose a white peep-toe shoe to match with her white pearls and earrings. She thought of straightening her hair and letting it loose but Kay advised her to tie her hair into a bun and let loose a few strands in the front. This made her pearls and studs show nicely. “What do you think?” she asked after she finished fixing herself. “You look beautiful”, “Really?” “Yes! You know I would never lie to you”. That was true, Kay had always been open and honest with her, if she didn't like something, she didn't hesitate to speak out.

Mr. Diamond rang the doorbell and Liana walked to the door feeling a little nervous. He was blown away how could he not have noticed all this beauty from the moment he saw her? He had wondered again and again.

"Wow! Are you trying to leave me breathless?" he asked leering at her with lustful eyes."Am I succeeding?" "Like you don’t already know it, you are beautiful Miss Crawford", he stated. "Why thank you Mr. Diamond, you don’t look bad yourself". He wore a navy blue suit, white shirt and no tie. His tall, masculine body made him look good in a suit. Greetings were exchanged in the house before they bid goodbye. He opened the passenger door for her, she got in and they drove off.

They spend twenty minutes on the road before pulling over in the parking lot. "Wow! Please tell me this is where we are dining, it’s so beautiful", Liana squealed captivated by the beauty of the five star hotel."It's not as beautiful as you though", he simpered making her blush. "Stop it Josh you are making me blush". They were dining at the Dorchester Hotel where only the rich would dare to go. One glass of common wine would cost you the same amount as five bottles of the same wine from a grocery store. Taking a seat, she was still mesmerized by the beauty of the hotel. Liana couldn't help running her eyes everywhere.

It looked like heaven and no one had ever treated her to such an expensive place before. Looking at Josh Diamond she wondered just how many women he had brought there before. She seemed to forget this wasn't a date but dinner to show his gratitude towards his customers as he had said.

"Is this how you show your male customers gratitude too?" He was caught off guard by Lia's question; he chocked a little and then sipped his wine while thinking of how to reply her."No I take them car racing", "oh really?" she doubted. "Okay you got me! So I lied, I give my customers ten percent discount the next time they buy a car from me, you are beautiful Liana I had to take you out for dinner it boosts a man's ego to be seen dining with a gorgeous woman", he confessed."So you do this with all beautiful women who buy cars from you?" He wished she would just take the compliment and not question him any further. "No! What are you insinuating?" he asked annoyed by her interrogation.

Liana realized she was putting him off. "Nothing, I’m sorry I guess I was just trying to make conversation", "okay but can we talk about something else, something more interesting?" "Of course", she agreed. Talk turned into their hobbies and likes, he told her of some of his embarrassing moments and she was laughing like a little child, he was hilarious and quite a story teller. The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was very tasty and the service excellent. She wasn't familiar with the names of the meals on the menu but she managed to order something eatable judging on the listed components.

Hours later when they were getting ready to leave Josh asked her if she knew about Logan communications, she had answered with enthusiasm stating that not only did she know about the company but she was hired there and she was to start work next week Monday."Oh wow! I’m impressed congratulations”, and indeed he was impressed for he thought the lady must be highly qualified to be offered a job there. “Thank you and why were you asking about Logan Communications?” “I wanted to show you the owner of the famous company, well that’s if you don’t already know him”, “No I don’t know him, please show me”,

“You see the man in a white suit sitting over there, that’s the proud owner of Logan communications, Mr. Derrik Logan", he covetously informed her as he pointed to the man he envied.

Liana knew she wasn't mistaken that was the same man who had interviewed her earlier today. "No that can’t be right, that is definitely not Derrik Logan, he is the H.R; he is the one who interviewed me today"."Really! Well I can’t say I’m surprised, you are a gorgeous young woman, he played with your mind probably because he wanted to be drooling over your luscious self, check his profile on the internet and don’t be surprised when he starts hitting on you, he is up to something", he frowned."Oh my word so that’s really Derrik Logan! The owner of the famous billion dollar company hired me himself wow! I must be one lucky woman", she exclaimed much to Josh’s dismay. Liana didn't want to believe the reason she was hired was because Derrik had an ulterior motive.

He was a multi billionaire whom women probably threw themselves at, not just any women probably models and actresses so why would he bother himself with little old her? He probably hired her out of pity, she thought. Josh worried Logan would somehow snatch Liana away from him before they even got anywhere, he didn't think any woman would chose him over a multi billionaire, he knew women to be money lovers, always opting for the richest man.
