I sat around a table with my cousins. Our spouses took the boys to do something. It gave me and the others a break. Trust me. We needed it.
"Can you believe we're parents?" Markus asked us.
"I'm still surprised you had a chance since your track record sucked with guys," Parker said, earning a look from Markus.
We laughed.
"If anyone should surprise us, it's Matt, considering he walked around like, uh, I'm never dating," Payton said, mocking me.
I rolled my eyes. "You should talk. Wasn't it you who couldn't get his s**t together? Didn't your dad keep asking you when you would figure out your life?"
