Ruhani's pov
It's been the day before yesterday when Arsal blocked me. I know he's eagerly waiting for my email or call, but I won't do anything this time, I'm just fed up with this stuff. I love him but there is something like self-respect in this world!
It was yesterday when I met Arjun Goenka. There was something in that Arjun that is making me think about him repeatedly. Yesterday Mr. Rakesh Goenka called papa and said something, I don't know the complete matter neither my parents are telling me anything. Mumma told me that they are proud of me, everything that I brought to Goenka's notice has been proven right. Goenka's are not breaking their ties with us, so this is good news, right? But I'm only noticing tension spread in the house. Surely they're hiding something from me.
When Papa was not around his phone, I secretly checked it and transferred the call recording of Mr. Goenka to my phone. Okay, I know it's a bad thing to sneak into papa's phone, but I need to do this to find out the cause of them being uneasy. I went to my college and heard the call recording on my way to the college in the metro.

Papa: Hello Rakesh, my friend!
Mr. Goenka: Hello Krishna. I have two good news for you buddy.
Papa: I don't understand, two good news?
Mr. Goenka: One, we are not cutting any ties with RM Industries, our daughter Ruhani was very right about the new party. Even Arjun has become a fan of Ruhani.
Papa: That's wonderful, I knew it, my daughter never lets her father be in trouble.
Mr. Goenka: Now at least ask about the second good news.
Papa: As if you won't tell if I won't ask.
Mr. Goenka : "Arjun weds Ruhani" how does it sound?
Papa: What?
Mr. Goenka: What do you think about it?
Papa: I need some time to think about it.
Mr. Goenka: You should take your time, after all, you are the father of my to-be daughter-in-law.
Papa: I know about the ruthlessness of Arjun, I'm 90% sure that I'm going to deny this marriage proposal.
Mr. Goenka: Arjun will love Ruhani, trust me, they both will love each other, I have seen it in their eyes.
Papa: This is nonsense Rakesh, everyone knows that your son is a playboy. He can't stay with one woman throughout his life.
Mr. Goenka: This is not true Krishna, he just needs someone to love him deeply, he surely will stop doing those things.
Papa: My daughter is not for taking chances.
Mr. Goenka: You remember Krishna 22 years back, I lent you a huge amount of money to start your business?
Papa: Yes, which I paid back to you in installments.
Mr. Goenka: No my friend, I have documents with your signature on them about the loan that you took from me, but it is not written anywhere on any document that you returned that me.
Papa: What do you mean?
Mr. Goenka: So that amount, plus the interest of 22 years will make up a very huge amount, that you are unable to pay back.
Papa: This is betrayal!
Mr. Goenka: This is the consequence if Ruhani won't marry Arjun.

What the f**k! I was not able to focus on anything after listening to that conversation. Pediatrics, pharmacology, all lectures went one by one, I was just restless. As soon as the lectures were done, I dragged Rita to the garden to tell her everything. She's my constant painkiller. I told her everything from meeting Arjun to Mr. Goenka's phone call. Her expressions clearly told that she is still processing the events in her mind.
"What do you think, how long would ve Arjun's manhood?" I can't believe she said this after listening to my problems. She never fails to make me laugh however bad the situation is.
"That's none of my concern Rita" I rolled my eyes.
"That hunk is going to be your husband, let's party you lazy b***h"
"I'm going to stab a knife right into your heart" I was huffing.
"Babe, let's be practical, all of us know that Arsal is never going to love you the way you loved him, he's only a disappointment to you, you have to someone, right?". I nodded silently.
"Then what's the problem with Arjun, he's a billionaire, a stud, moreover I don't think that you should be concerned about his love scandals because you yourself are in love with that Arsal."
"Maybe your marriage can work with him, if not, then get a divorce, what's the big issue"
She's right to some extent, I knew that I can never get married to Arsal, he neither loves me, I'm just his obsession. Apart from that, I don't have any other option after Mr. Goenka's polite threat.,
"I think you are right," I told her approvingly.
I called mum and told her that I heard the call recording, and I'm ready to marry Arjun only if my studies won't be affected.
I clearly heard the joy in her voice.
