Town of the 'banished' people

THE NEXT DAY

AT XAVIER'S POW:

I woke up the next day and saw her getting ready to leave. I kept watching her and saw, how she had packed some things in her backpack. I looked at her, confused.

-Where are you going?-I asked.

-I am going to get some materials.-She said.

-Materials for what?-I asked.

-A home.-She said.

-I don't understand what are you talking about. -I said.

-Right, you never had to fix your home. I am going to get materials since I need to fix my house roof. When it's raining some rain is getting inside of the house, and I want to prevent that. -She said, and I nodded.

-Can I watch you?-I asked.

-Why do you want something like that? I mean, you never saw a person doing stuff as it.-Hikari said, and I chuckled.

-I have a few reasons. First, because we are living under the same roof. Second, you are my familiar, and you are supposed to be near me.-I said, and Hikari shrugged her shoulders.

-I understood.-She said. -Let's go then.

I nodded and followed after her. I kept walking after her until we reached the town part of outsiders village.

-Hey, Hikari. Are you looking for someone?-Someone asked her.

-I am looking for Kim. Have you seen him?-She asked.

-He might be at his workshop.-He said.

-Thank you.-Hikari said, and I followed her.

It took us ten mins to reach that workshop. It was a small house with a metal-making thing and some other stuff needed to make wanted materials.

-Hey, Hikari.-Guy called Kim said and smiled.

-Hi, Kim. I came to ask about my house roof. I need to be fixed before the rainy season.-She said.

-I think I could do it in a few days, but I need some materials.-He said.

-Of course. What exactly do you want?-She asked.

-I have a list.-Kim said and handed her a piece of paper.

-I almost forgot.-She said and handed him a bottle.

-You are a lifesaver Hikari. I almost have finished it.-Kim said and smiled.

-What is that?-I asked.

-Medicine from the herbs I took. It's one of my specialties here. Some people think that I am a witch for that reason. -She said and laughed.

-That sounds pretty cool.-I said and smiled.

-That was a reason why I was also banished into this town. I told you that is a town made for not accepted ones.-She said.

-Who is he?-Kim asked.

-He is my...friend. I took him here since he is new to this town. He lives with me until he finds his own place.-She said, and Kim nodded.

-Pleasure to meet you. I am Kim.-Kim said and smiled.

-I am Xavier.-I said and smiled.

-Why you got banished here?-Kim asked.

I looked at Hikari, confused. I need to think of something.

-Mostly because my dad decided that I am no longer good enough. I can turn into an animal, and that was weird for him.-I said.

-What kind of animal?-Kim asked.

-A wolf.-I said.

-That makes you sound like you are a werewolf.-Kim said, and I looked at him confused.

-You heard about werewolves?-I asked.

-Everyone knows about them and the royal alpha family. I mean they are a reason why we are living a peaceful life.-Kim said.

-What do you mean?-I asked.

-Five years ago was a war between wolf packs, and most of the territories were harmed by them. Alpha king took everything into his hands and restored some of the territories.-Kim said.

-Not only that. Since we are banished ones, other creatures kept attacking us, so people like Hikari had to fight them.-Woman said and smiled.

-What do you mean? She does not look that strong. Sorry, Hikari.-I said and chuckled.

-I understand that.-She said.

-I can show you something.-Woman said and showed me a woman in a soldier outfit.

-That is you?-I asked while looking at her.

-Yeah. I was like that five years ago. I still got that outfit, but I am living my normal life. -Hikari said.

-So you not that weak like I have thought.-I said.

-It was five years ago, Xavier. I forgot most of the things, and I am not as strong as before because of my injury.-Hikari said and sighed.

-What injury?-I asked.

-I tell you about it later.-She said and I nodded.

She might sound like a weak person, but she is strong for a human. I mean she still too weak for being my familiar, but I can make her stronger. I am going to help her and make her into a strong enough familiar to get my throne back. I am going to do that whatever she likes it or not.

-Let's go back. We need to get those materials.-I said.

-Of course. Bye Kim.-She said and both of us walked off.

Now I know that I could use her skills and maybe our new friends help to get my family's throne back. But firstly, I need to gain her trust, so she is going to listen to me.

-What is the next step?-I asked.

-We need to get items from this list.-She said and smiled.

-What kind of items?-I asked.

She handed me a list, and I looked at it.

*Dried grass

*Bucket of mud

I was looking at the list confused. Why does he need that type of stuff?

-What he is going to do with them?-I asked.

-Fix a roof?-Hikari said and looked at me with a confused look.

-I still don't understand.-I said and sighed.

-You will understand tomorrow.-She said and smiled.

I nodded and sighed. Since I was living in a castle, I could not really understand poor people's lives. I am going to help her sometimes since she is not that bad. It took us some time to get all the needed materials. When we got back home, Hikari made dinner, and I was happy that she thought of it. After a long day, I felt pretty hungry. When I was living inside of the castle, I often eat snacks, and now I must wait to get one three times a day meal. I ate my food and smiled after she finished getting everything ready. I helped her a bit and then I went back to my room.

-Why you so unfriendly with her?-My wolf asked.

-I am friendly.-I said and sighed.

-You could be more friendly.-My wolf said and I sighed.

-I can try to think about it. She is my familiar so why should I think so much? We are only together because we are trapped by a stupid bond.-I said.

-You know, that you two only can become stronger if you two are going to work together as a team.-Adam said.

-I know that myself, and I told you that I will think about it.-I said and I heard hos frown.

-Just don't be so hard on her. She is a kind girl.-Adam said, and I nodded.

He was right about it. Hikari is not a bad person and it's not her fault that she got summoned by me. I mean I am a demon and she human.
