The Reign of the Alpha Warrior.

The dead and the living

The warriors tracked Helena Grace's scent to the river. They found her shoe and a torn piece of an old shirt. The warriors also noticed slide marks that led to the water as if someone slid and it had Helena Grace's scent all down it. The warrior linked the King instead of Annalease. Not wanting to be the one to tell her. "We found something Your Majesty. It appears Helena Grace fell onto the river" He said by link. Mark received the link and looked at Annabelle and Izzy. Izzy was still hugging Annalease trying to comfort her.

Mark gave the orders to search the river banks. He told Annalease what they had found. Now they needed to go to the river to verify the shoe and the torn piece of her top. Izzy walked with them down to the river. The warriors were busy searching frantically. The warrior that linked the King was waiting. He bowed as they walked up. "My King and Queen, I'm sorry but we have found these along with slide marks leading into the river I believe it is The Princess's scent." He said as he lowered his head handing the items to Mark. "I will confirm that it's her scent Queen Annalease. " Izzy said walking over to the slide marks. She knew it would be her scent. Izzy yelled out orders to continue to search the river. Warriors who had not shifted began diving into the river to search as well. Annalease hated to see them do this knowing the chances now of finding her daughter alive were slim.

Another warrior popped his head up put of the water yelling he had something. Another warrior dove in with him. The warriors took a deep breath and they vanished beneath the surface of the water. A few moments later they came up holding onto a large plastic bag. Whatever it was, it was big. Annalease thought They pulled the heavy bag from the water and opened it up before the King and Queen could get down there. They all began to vomit. Annalease stopped not sure if she wanted to go down any further by judging the way the others were acting. *It's a dead body" Izzy said smelling the foul stinch. Annalease told the warriors to take the bag and its contents to the morgue. She notified Henry of the incoming. She sent the divers back in to see if they could find anything else where the bag was found that may e would tell them who it was. More warriors dove into the water to help look that way since everything else was coming up short handed on the ground.

Word of the missing Princess traveled quickly through the kingdom and volunteers from all over began to help search the river. All together the entire river was covered to where it met the bay of the ocean. Two more bags were found with decaying bodies in it. They were taken to the morgue as well.

It was time for Annalease to get ready for the ball unfortunately. Her gown laid on her bed waiting for her to get dressed..Annalease lost it and started balling. Mark tried his best to comfort her knowing it would never be enough if they couldn't find Helena Grace.

Annalease and Mark looked at each other questionably before there was a knock on the door. Helen and Richard walked in. Both hugging Annalease and Mark. Helen looked at Annalease "Any word yet from the warriors on Helena Grace?" Helen asked. Annalease shook her head no and began crying again. "Now, let's get this straight" Helen said adjusting Annalease's crown and still trying to comfort her daughter and fixing her make up. She linked Zia to bring Annalease a new gown seeing the one she was wearing had now seen better days.

Zia arrived quickly with a new gown in her hands. Annalease had never seen this one before. It was the same exact color of her eyes. Annalease felt an all to familiar burn and warmth and also a glow down her arms. When she looked sure enough her markings we're now continuing down her arms. The markings we're identical on each side. Annalease began to panic as she knew what the symbols would be representing. She knew the warriors would not be finding her daughter alive now. Helen, Mark and Richard saw the marks appear as well and knew the meaning of them. No doubt to remind her of Helena Grace. Annalease quickly changed as Zia and Helen helped fix her hair and make up. On her dress a note was pinned. Annalease smiled. she now knew where the dress came from. "You will get through this. Know that Helena Grace is not alone You have something you must do tonight so keep Head high, crown straight, eyes open, mind clear" the note said. Once she was straight, she looked back to where her note was laying only to find two single white roses and a new crown with emblems of white roses on it along with hearts, a wolfs head on each side and her royal mark on the front. Annalease removed the crown she had on, and Helen placed the new one on her head. They both knew what happened to Helena Grace. She was now with Alpha Dad as tears fell down both of their eyes. Unfortunately until the warriors could find her, she could not announce Helena Grace's death to the public, which meant this was going to be a very hard night to get through.

Annalease and Helen stepped out to join the others. Together they walked to the Ball room just in time to greet the incoming of guests that had arrived. First up was no other than Alpha Zane and Cassie. Cassie hugged Annalease and quickly asked "Are you ok? Have they found Helena Grace yet?" Annalease just shook her head no. Despite the pain she humbly greeted Alpha Zane showing him she had not weakened nor would she. Alpha Zane looked at the Queen expecting to see her crying or a mess. But there before him Queen Annalease stood tall and more beautiful than ever. "Why couldn't I have been blessed with a mate that strong and beautiful. Despite her child missing she shows no weakness" He thought to himself then thought of his mate that he killed and threw into the river when he got back here. She was weak. Not worthy of being his Luna or his Queen, neither was Cassie but he was stuck with her for now. She would be joining the others in the river after he was through with her. But he still needed her for now. After greeting the King and Queen Alpha Zane and Cassie went to take their seats.

After greeting their guest, mark and Annalease went to the stage to begin the welcoming speech. Annalease stepped up as everyone rose and bowed to the King and Queen. "Welcome everyone to the Fates Mate Ball. We hope that you all will be able to find your one true mate. Please keep in mind however and keep your wolves in check that this is still a public gathering and be mindful of the laws. If you find your mate and they accept please see Zia over there and we will see about getting things done formally please. Absolutely no marking of your mate until formally joined after both parties have consented. Forceful marking of another will result in immediate death. Make sure all of you understand that. It forms a bond forever tying you to that person until your death. So if you forcefully mark someone without their consent, the only way for me to break it is by your death. Other than these rules, I wish you all good luck as the spell will be lifted momentarily that is currently blocking anyone's ability to find their mate in here now. Also as many of you have heard, my daughter is missing,and it is presumed that she has fallen into the river. I will be in and out of here as well as King Mark, but taking our place will be my first in command Jake and Annabelle or either second in command Cameron and Christie. They will hold the same power as myself and the King in our absence. Now if you will please excuse us at this time as I will give the order for the spell to be removed upon our exit. Fiona if you do not mind waiting until we are out of the room please" Annalease said as she stepped down with Mark carrying the two white roses in her arms.

As Annalease and Mark exited the room, she heard the music begin and knew Fiona was undoing the spell. She took a deep breath as one of the warriors came running up to her and Mark. "My Queen and King" the warrior said out of breath but bowing in respect. "What is wrong?" Mark demanded to know immediately. "There are two things actually. We need the both of you at the river immediately. We unfortunately have found the missing Princess, but there is something else as well that we have found with her" the Warrior said. Annalease felt her knees begin to buckle as Mark quickly wrapped his arms around her waist to support her. He linked Cameron and Jake immediately. They came out of the Ball room in a flash along with Annabelle and Christie. Annalease was in tears trying to keep it together as Helen and Richard came out as well trying to figure out what had happened. Mark quickly took control. "Christie and Annabelle, I need for the two of you to stay in there to oversee everything. I need someone in there in charge. Helen and Richard if you will please help Annalease down to the river. Cameron, Jake and I will shift and go now. " Mark ordered before shifting with the other two running for the river. Christie and Annabelle looked at Annalease for answers. "They said they found Helena Grace's body but something else was with her as well" Annalease said confused as to what this could be and how. Richard and Helen looked just as questionable but really couldn't ask or say anything where they were.

Henry came running into the hallway from the hospital wing. "Queen Annalease I have information and have confirmed the identification of the three we recovered from the river." He said quickly. Then he saw that something else was not quite right too. Richard spoke up. "Henry your assistance will probably be required down at the river, so why don't you tell us as we take Annalease" Richard said.

After the four of them exited the building Henry walked up. . Henry spoke up. "The three we found in the river are all members of the Rebel pack. It's no other than Alpha Zane's Father his mother and the other woman was with child, but had not been married yet. Her name is Nicola Harris age 19. She was an Alpha female" Henry told them. That was all Annalease needed to know. She could now have Zane arrested for murder. Annalease received a link from Mark to get to the river immediately and to bring Henry st once. Annalease looked at the others and said "We have to go now" before she shifted taking off to the river. The others followed suit

There was no doubt what was tearing through the woods as the warriors and the others looked up. They could see the glow coming from Moon as she ran through the woods with ease leaping over any obstacle standing on the way. Hurricane started to get excited seeing her. As Moon and the others Arrived Hurricane quickly licked Moon and rubbed against her. It had been a bit since he last saw her. But now was not the time to catch up as Annalease quickly took over. Mark and the others followed suit. "What did they find?" Annalease asked quickly. Mark braced Annalease and Richard stood on the other side of her ready to catch her if needed. The warrior first took Henry. He was needed immediately to see what else they had found. After Henry confirmed the body was that of Princess Helena Grace, the warrior brought the Queen over as Henry was busy and urgently working on something else. Queen Annalease saw the body of Helena Grace. She laid on the blanket that the warriors had laid her on. She looked so peaceful and so beautiful. Her shirt that was torn had a picture in the front of it with white roses. it read "Love has no end" on it Annalease remembered buying the outfit for Helena Grace. Tears began to fall but she was quickly interrupted by Henry. "Annalease, when they found Helena Grace, she was holding these two" He said easily as he unwrapped the blanket he was holding. Everyone gasped. in his arms was a jade newborn puppy and a newborn Dragon. Both now alive thanks to the quick thinking and work of Henry. He wrapped both of them up immediately handing them to Annalease. She held the blanket as close to her as she could and everyone could see the light coming from her warming the two laying in the blanket and warming the blanket enough to get them to the hospital immediately. She linked the vet that they had on staff to meet them in the hospital as the others were left to bring Helena Grace's body up to the morgue. Annalease ran inside carrying the blanket. She unwrapped the two laying snuggly warm inside. The vet gasped. "Where were these two found,?" she asked Annalease quickly examining both of them. Annalease choked back the tears as she told the Vet they had found them In Helena Grace's arms. The vet quickly grabbed feedi milk and fed the dragon as Annalease feed the waiting pup. They hungrily drank the bottles in no time. "Well it seems Our little Princess dies a hero. . They wouldn't have made it in the river at all" The vet said. "What would you like for me to do with them Queen Annalease" the vet asked. Annalease looked at her shocked by the question. What do you mean?' Annalease asked. "Well they will need 24 hour care around the clock. plus keeping them warm and fed every hour Annalease. It will be a lot of work. " She explained to Annalease. Annalease understood what she was getting at but quickly responded "Please get me all the milk and bottles together. I'm taking them to Kiarra. She will keep them warm and the other pups and Fidget will gladly assist as well. As far as feeding them, there are more than enough of us to do the feeds around to he clock. If my daughter died saving them then she meant for them to live and I will make certain that happens." Annalease said taking the pair up to Tornado and Kiarra. The pups and Fidget were in the room as well laying with their parents. Annalease unwrapped the two newborns and quickly placed them next to Kiarra. They snuggled into her soft fur S she licked them. The other pups easily walked over to see what was going on. When they saw the two they whimpered and laid next to them as well adding additional warmth for them. Fidget walked over last

Sniffing the air, then the blanket. Rooting like a pig even faster as the scent got stronger. Fidget excitedly pushed the pups to the side as he sniffed and rooted through the pike. Finally he found the source of the scent. He let out this ear piercing sound followed by low purrs as he nudged the newborn Dragon. Fidget very carefully laid down right there his head not moving from where he found the newborn. "It's my brother" Annabelle received a link. it startled her at first not realizing right away it was from Fidget. "They both were in the arms of my daughter when they found her body" She linked letting Fidget know. The newborns fell soundly asleep at least for a little bit. The vet came to the room bringing the bottles and formula with her. When she saw the bundle of fur and scales she was amazed. Annalease quickly filled her in on Fidget and that being his brother. "You should have seen him sniffing the baby out. Once he got wind of the scent he was like one of the best trackers you have ever seen " Annalease whispered. "Here I'll take the first shift so you can get back to the Ball room and make the announcement And can understandably make the decision to end the ball." The vet said sympathetically. Annalease thanked her promising someone would come relieve her in an hour or so.

Annalease found Mark waiting for her downstairs. They knew they had to announce the death of Helena Grace and also the names of the other three found and arrest the one responsible for their deaths. The guilty one was already in custody, he just didn't know it yet.
