(Astrid POV)
“What are you doing here?” I asked as I glared at him.
“I came to pick you up” he shrugged as I raised my eyebrow at him.
“I told you to pick me up after college. Not now” I said irritated.
Today he was wearing casual clothes. A skin turtle neck sweater and black jeans, both probably from Gucci or some other high designer company.
“Is there a problem if I take you to college?” he asked raising his eyebrow at me.
I glared at him as he kept staring at me.
“You know the more you stand here, the more time you are losing. Don’t you have to see the professor before he goes for his flight?” he asked as my eyes widened.
I checked the time and I let out a thread of curses.
I’m already 5 minutes late. The bus will make me really late. If I need to hire a taxi, it will take extra time.
“Fine,” I said as I got in the car.
I’m glad he brought an Audi. Yea it’s an expensive one but it’s much better than yesterday’s millions worth Rolls-Royce.
The ride was silent and there was light music that filled the air.
“I will see you later,” he said as I nodded and got out of the car.
I noticed every passer-by stop and look.
“Ash?” a voice came from my left.
“Sophia,” I said as I smiled and waved.
“Where were you yesterday?” she asked as I smiled guiltily.
“Sorry I had some errands,” I said as she nodded before her eyes went behind me.
“Who is that?” she whispered in my ear, her eyes wide with shock.
I turned back to see Elliot walking to me.
By the way, when he smirks I know he is up to something.
“Hello, Are you a friend of Astrid?” he asked as Sophia blushed.
“Um… yes,” she said as he smiled.
“Please take care of her,” he said before turning to me.
“I will meet you here at 3,” he said as he lightly tapped my cheek and went back to his car.
“Ash! Is he your so-called errand?” she shouted as I looked at her shocked.
“Ahh... no... I mean” I stumbled as she crosses her hand over her chest and looked at me.
“Why didn’t you tell us you had a boyfriend?” She said as I immediately shook my head.
“He is not my boyfriend,” I said as she gave me a bored expression.
“It's complicated,” I said as she sighed.
“We need to go to professor fast. But remember, this conversation is not over.” She said as I sighed and walked to the building with her.
After talking with the professor I walked to the activities room.
The graduation of our seniors is coming soon and he wants our group to be involved in it.
The rest of my group was already in the committee hall discussing matters.
“Ash! Where were you yesterday?” Simon asked as I sat next to him.
“Sorry I was a bit busy yesterday,” I said as Sophia coughs.
“Yea busy with a handsome dude,” she said as the others’ eyes widen.
“What?” They shouted looking at me.
“He is my friend,” I said as Sophia scoffs.
“Yeah sure. A friend” she said as I glare at her.
“Who is that guy?” Jaan asked as he glared at me.
“Tell us his name!” Carla asked excitedly.
“He is not of importance now! We have a meeting to begin. The coronation is in two days. Even though we are only in charge of inviting committee, we need to do it properly.” I said as they sighed and nodded.
The meeting extended for an hour before I spend the rest of my time in the library doing my thesis.
A ding on my phone caught my attention.
I looked at the mobile to see it was a message from Mr. arrogant.
‘It's half past 3. Where are you? You have a minute to reply to this message before I personally come in to look for you’ the message said as my eyes widened.
Shit!
‘I’m in the library. I was doing my thesis and didn’t know it was late. I will be there in 5 minutes’ I messaged him.
‘Ok you have 5 minutes’ it replied immediately.
I cursed as I started to pack my things. I’m at the other end of the building. If I don’t run I won’t reach there on time.
After I packed my items and took the rest of the paper in my hand I dashed out the library.
I sprinted through the hallways bumping and apologizing to pretty much everyone in the hallway.
Reaching out I saw the same car from yesterday, and leaning on the car was ‘His all-mighty Elliot Mateo Moore’ in his designer suit.
“Wow you reached a minute earlier,” he said as I put bent down and took deep breathes.
“He… he… hell, W-with Y-you” I cursed him while trying to desperately get some oxygen.
“You seem to be unfit, unlike the old days. How long has it been since you’ve trained?” he asked as I glared at him.
“None of your business. Let’s talk and get this over once and for all” I said as I entered the car.
The whole ride I was desperately looking at the paper in my hand trying to arrange them in order.
This bastard didn’t even give me time to arrange the papers properly.
“Thesis on respiratory failures?” he asked as he picked up one of the scattered papers.
“Lung carcinoma i.e. lung cancer,” I said as he nodded.
“When is the submission date?” he asked.
“In 2-3 months,” I said as he nodded before he started to text on his phone.
