CHAPTER SIX The Dowager wasted no time. Fabric for a Wedding gown was ordered within a week with boxes of pearls and lengths of tulle. Lady Bethel returned to Flammington to break the news to her father. She would return for the Engagement Ball and would then take up residence at Mannerly prior to the Wedding. Meanwhile, Mrs. Silkin and two seamstresses had taken Lady Bethel’s measurements, so that the work on the Wedding gown might begin.
