KADE’S POV
A jerking woke me up from my sleep and it was none other than Zaya’s. Her body shook and was covered with beads of sweat trickling down her body, almost soaking the bed.
Whatever sleep that was in my eyes cleared out in an instant and I scooped her into my arms as I sat up. She was having a nightmare again and I needed to calm her down.

I wiped her face with my palm and shook her lightly, hoping that she would feel our bond like she did the last time she had a nightmare. “Zaya, baby, open your eyes for me. Wake up, sweetheart.”
