I should have been the one he married. I should have been the one he chose to stay by his side for when he would take revenge on those who killed Olivia. I was the one best suited to be his wife, not the b**ch he married.
“She’s nothing to me” he had said to me, yet his eyes held something that didn’t sit well with me. Anger, revenge and just something that was closed off, something that could rupture open the veil he had over his heart.
For years I wanted him, craved him, desired him and even worshipped the ground that he walked on. If I knew he was going to find his mate one day, I just didn’t expect her to turn out to be my twin.
