I was so glad for lunch to finally come up. I need to talk to Shane. I need to find out what is happening. I hate being out of the loop. All I know is something happened Thursday night, something big. I’ve heard all the rumours. I mean there is no way that cops and an ambulance come to your house and the whole town doesn’t know about it. Vanya missed school on Friday which just made the gossip worse. Her mom didn’t let us visit her this weekend. We were turned away at the door, but I heard that Shane finally got to see her yesterday. I rushed to the lunch room and sat down not bothering with getting food at all. I wasn’t the only one our table filled up so fast. As soon as Shane showed up we all stared at him in suspense waiting for him to give us answers.
