"Stop!"
"No."
I growled at my brother, Dean, for not listening to a word I say.
He's gonna get in trouble for the twentieth time today all because he won't stop taking rubber bands and slingshotting them at the back of the teachers head.
I watched as he picked up yet another one and aimed it at the teacher, pulling it back then releasing.
Unlike the other times though, he actually succeeded in hitting the teacher.
The teacher spun around and glared at everyone, her face redder than a cherry. "Which one of you dogs threw something at me?!"
Ha, what she doesn't know is that we are actually wolves.
But she's human, so I hope she just said that coincidently.
"Yeah! Who threw something at her? Can't you see we're trying to learn here? God, so inconsiderate." Dean said to the class, knowing damn well he did it.
Sneaky bastard.
"Thank you, Dean, but I don't need you to back me up. I'll find out who it was." Miss. Selina said, her gaze then averted to me.
"Chris, can you come here for a minute please?" She questioned and my eyebrows furrowed, nevertheless, I got up and went to her desk.
"I know you're going through a lot at home, but you can't keep pulling stunts like that here in school." She said quietly, only so I could hear her.
"What? I wasn't the one who did that! That was Dean!" I retorted but she merely shook her head in response.
"Why would Dean do that then look around innocently?"
"I don't know." I lied, knowing my dad specifically said he better not catch Dean in anymore trouble at school.
Though, he doesn't quite understand I have to watch over Dean like he's a baby because he can't function without doing something bad.
"You can have a seat now." Miss. Selina told me and I went back to my seat, plopping down and putting my face in my hand.
"What's wrong?" Dean asked me and I lifted my head, looking over to see his face full of concern.
"Mom." I responded and his mouth formed into an 'O' shape.
"She's gonna be okay, she'll pull through... she has to." He replied, trying to reassure me but it seemed like he wasn't so sure himself.
"Okay..." I nodded, trying to change my mind off the topic.
"Hey, Chris!" Someone whispered loudly from my right so I looked over at them.
It was only McKenzie, my best friend.
"What?" I whispered back.
"You seem a little blue, what's wrong?" She asked and I rolled my eyes.
She always uses that sentence when she sees I'm not happy, I used to think it was funny but now it's just annoying.
"Nothing, and I thought I told you to stop saying that." I raised a brow and she smirked.
"You did, but I didn't listen."
"Clearly." I said, hearing the bell ring seconds later.
"Race you to the lockers." She grinned, snatching her stuff up and running.
"Not today!" I muttered to myself, scooping my supplies up and running after her.
I made it into the hall and scowled when I saw her standing in front of my locker with a look of triumph. "I beat you, once again!"
"That's because you cheat, you cheater."
She pretended to be hurt, "how dare you accuse me of doing such, I would never. You're just slow, like a snail."
I rolled my eyes at her, "I'm not slow, that much I can tell you."
"Yes you are, you're probably even slow in bed." She wiggled her eyebrows at me and a look of horror crossed my face.
"Excuse you?!" I squeaked and she laughed, slapping my arm playfully.
"I'm kidding! Oh my god, I love messing with you." She stated, wiping a nonexistent tear away.
"Did someone say something s****l?" Dean asked loudly, popping up from behind my shoulder and I jumped.
"Argh! You people need to stop doing that." I said with narrowed eyes, pointing back and forth between Dean and McKenzie who only laughed.
"Why?" Dean asked with a smirk, wrapping his arm around McKenzie's shoulder.
They're also friends, but McKenzie has a crush on him. I promised not to tell and I'm a man of my word, so I didn't utter a single word to Dean about it.
"Because! I don't like it." I shrugged.
"Yeah? I don't like school but look where I go everyday of the week." He retorted and I facepalmed.
"Alright guys, that's enough." McKenzie said, removing Dean's arm off her.
She was blushing so hard, luckily Dean is pretty dumb so he won't notice a thing.
"Onto the next topic, have you guys heard about the two new kids that are moving into this school district? They're supposed to be at school tomorrow." McKenzie grinned, rubbing her hands together evilly.
"New kids?!" Dean and I asked simultaneously.
