Rebecca. “Mummy!” Lucas screamed as he ran towards the door I had just walked in from. “My baby,” I chirped lowering myself to pick him up and giving a playful spin while he chuckled loudly. “How are you doing?” I asked pressing a kiss on his forehead. “Fine, I missed you,” he said wrapping his hand tightly around my neck. “I missed you too my darling,” I replied, instantly regretting not getting him anything on my way back from work. Even though I was gone only for a day, it felt as if I had been gone for months.
