After a moment of stunned silence, Megan looked at Brandon and then over to Aiden. She could see the wheels turning in his head and understood he wanted to question his son, but not in the presence of Detective Carson. However, it didn’t seem to be an option. The detective was running this investigation, and all Aiden and Megan could do was to stand by and try to prevent Brandon from digging his own grave.
“You’ve seen this woman, this bride, before? When? What were the circumstances of those meetings?” The detective lost no time before pouncing on Brandon’s statement, shooting off questions rapid fire.
