Chapter 5
Before she could get any closer, Brandon grabbed her hand and pulled her back towards the door they had come from, calling the dogs to follow. But Megan and Barney were having none of that. They had both been in this situation too many times to meekly bow out. Twisting her hand from Brandon’s, she went back to the body and squatted down to get a closer look, trying to take in all the details. With a shake of his head, he remembered someone calling her a magnetic for murder. Brandon pulled out his cell phone and made two calls. The first was to his father. Without giving Aiden a lot of details, Brandon told him he and Megan had found a murdered bride, and that he’d better get over here quickly.
