Chapter 35

1622 Words

3rd person pov-Aislyn Jem sighed, coming up to his wife and wrapping his arms around her as she stared out at the fog-filled darkened sky. The fog covered everything like a thick blanket, only hints of the dark purple ward like a beacon piercing through. The occasional bolt of electricity rumbling around and around the dark purple contrasted with the purple, lighting up the sky whether it was nighttime or daytime. From here, it was hard to tell what time of the day it was, because of the dark angry clouds that were constantly circling overhead and the thick rain pouring down on them. Almost everyone was under the deck to avoid the rain, but Jem knew his wife was above deck with the few that were forced to brave the storm to take care of the ship and make sure it was facing the right way.
