It took three weeks to accumulate everything they needed, and it frustrated Aislyn to no end with how long it took. Rhett had stolen the only close-by large ship, and she had to place a request into another town to have one sent over. It was either that, or she’d have to wait for a boat to be built, and that would take months. Then after a week to get to her, she had to wait while it was loaded up, all of the necessary food, equipment, and supplies. They didn’t know what was waiting for them across the sea, they didn’t know if they’d even be able to survive the whirlpools, or what would be over there if they did manage to cross the wretched sea. Jem and Ren went out of their way to come up with everything possible they’d need, including new clothes and items to keep
