I woke up to the view of Sage’s back pressed against my face, and smiled. For a few minutes there I thought I dreamt everything that happened, but the dull throb in my butt and legs told otherwise. I quickly made the pain go away, immensely glad I can heal myself. I had my hand wrapped around Sage’s waist, and for a moment I just laid there, enjoying the feel of his body moving with his soft breaths as he slept. I lifted my hand from his waist and ran my fingers up and down his side, enjoying the way his skin felt under my fingers. The sun was just starting to rise, and normally I’d be up and doing Tai Chi now, but I didn’t want to move away from him. Thirty days now, that’s all I had left.
