Truthfully, I should have expected everything would happen how I least expected it to. My portals can remain open for up to ten minutes, or be closed early if I want them to. I can move from one dimension to the next within the ten minutes as well, as long as I concentrate and remain tethered to it. I should have stepped through the portal, and talked to the first person I saw. I could have used ten minutes to explain what was happening, and to ask for help. However, I had been too excited when the dimension lined up with the scarf, knowing I had gotten it right. I wasn’t thinking, grabbing first, pulling through, I wasn’t thinking.
