"Thank you, Blake." My lady's personal protector did not say anything but just nodded his head acknowledging my gratitude. After I check that the wounded hunters are properly settled inside the carriage.

"My lady, we should set off." I tell Lady Jozine who is staring at the horizon in a deep thought.

She turns to me and nodded her head curtly. I could see the worry she has for Mistress Kate. I know more than anyone else that if there is someone that Lady Jozine is so keen on protecting it's none other than the second Mistress. She is after all a mother than her own.

I feel sad that my lady is feeling anxious, I would like to comfort her yet what can I do? I do not know the current situation of the Vesaurius mansion, even I do not know if my family is safe.

I wonder if my mother and sister...

"Elise," I quickly turn to Lady Jozine placing a small smile on my lips. I dare not show my fear or how worried I am. It would burden Lady Jozine as well. I... I can only hope that they are safe. Someone, someone must have saved them o the attack must have not reach our house since it's farther from the mansion and also Sylb. They should be safe— "I'm sorry Elise." I stilled.

Slowly, I turn to my lady, her eyes are...shinning with sadness and guilt.

"My lady...!"

"If you weren't with us, with me, you could have helped your family—"

"My lady, don't say that!" No. I shake my head at her, feeling my eyes brimming with tears ready to fall anytime soon. "Please don't say that... If, if something did happen to them then... I will, I will still be fine because I am serving you, my lady. Please don't take the burden of their... demise upon yourself. I could, I would never blame you because I know, more than anyone else, your kindness is the best thing that me and my family has ever experienced."

How could Lady Jozine do that to herself? How could she think that taking me with her in this journey and the accident happening, my family's possible death, her fault?

"My mother, if she knew that I am now able to use my healing magic without suffering from it at the same time, I know she would be delighted. And we are not sure of what the situation is their now, my lady. I have faith that they are alive and if they are not, if they are watching us right now, I know my mother and my sister would not want you to blame yourself."

Lady Jozine watch me and slowly, her lips formed a small smile. She also nodded to herself. "Thank you." Thank you? Why must Lady Jozine thank me? What have I ever done to help her? Serve her teas when she's busy reading the documents forced upon her by Mistress Felicia? It's nothing compared to being saved by her multiple times from the hands of Lady Clarence, from the hands of nobleman who wants to buy me as their... bed warmer.

Those trivial orders, trivial job is nothing compared to being saved by Lady Jozine ever since. My family was able to move out from the Vesaurius mansion after being abused by Mistress Felicia and Lady Clarence and it was all because of Lady Jozine.

I owe my life to Lady Jozine. My family owe their freedom to Lady Jozine and if I were to die for her, I am more than willing to do so.

"Is that lady a noble?" Asks one of the hunter, the one with a bulkier physical appearance. I heard his name is Odalf, an earth magic user and also a hunter. Beside him is the man with long white hair and mask.

I nodded my head. There is no point in hiding my lady's identity since we are not wearing masks to conceal our identity.

"Oh, from which noble house is she from?"

"Odalf." The masked man warned. Because my level is not strong enough and I have yet to fully comprehend the system of classification, I think it's the reason why I can't see this man with mask's level. I wonder if Lady Jozine, Blake and Eufema knows his level?

Odalf shrugs. "I just want to know." He mumbled while looking away.

The mask man did not say anything afterwards.

"Lady Jozine is from the household of Vesaurius." I answered after the silence.

Odalf straightened, he looks surprised. "Really!? You mean she is the lady with light magic that was able to master an attack spell!? The young lady who reached Superior level at such a young age!?" He exclaimed wide-eyed. I nodded my head proudly with a smile, both of us looks at Lady Jozine from the open window of the carriage.

She is riding an earth fox as tall as a horse, leading the carriage. The cloak she is wearing is swaying violently behind her from the wind, her raven black hair too. Her back reflects that of a noble lady but most importantly her presence while riding such ordinary fox gives off a powerful aura. As if a goddess is leading the carriage.

"That... what level is your lady?" Asks Odalf while looking at my lady in awe.

"I..." Even I do not know what level is my lady. The last time she asks us to check our levels through the magic energy quantifying orb she brought it wad only us who took the test. I wonder if my lady reached the Distinguished level? As far as I know that Distinguished is the strongest level, there is no doubt in my heart that my lady accomplished such feat. "I do not know. Can you not tell?" I answered and ask him in return too.

Odalf hummed while thinking. "Her magic energy is hidden, in my opinion she must have reached the Distinguished level already! How amazing!"

My lady taught the three of us magic energy and magic base concealing spell that's why we can manipulate how people sees our magic energy and magic base at will, however, because I am only a beginner I could not master it properly that's why my lady casted the spell upon me to keep my real energy level as to not arouse suspicion from those who knows that I cannot practice my healing magic.

This people can only see that I am the mid-beginner level instead of high-intermediate level.

Lady Jozine also taught us that the level is not always accurate that is why we cannot measure a person's strength and magic base only on that. We followed her teachings to us and I'm personally focusing in strengthening my magic base instead and once I strengthen my magic base into purple color, only then will I strengthen my magic energy.

I keep in my mind what Lady Jozine taught me, magic base is internal power from external magic energy.

"Your lady is awesome! To achieve such accomplishments at that age of hers, I can only imagine!" Odalf said once again. I nodded my head in agreement of what he said.

Odalf showered my lady with praises while I tended to his wounded comrades. One of them is heavily injured and although I'd like to use the strongest healing spell I can, I cannot do so because of Lady Jozine's order.

ZAIRE LEVI's POINT OF VIEW

"Have a drink, my lady." Elise handed me a bottle of water.

I smiled at her. "Thanks."

"Kiera, do we have stocks of food in there?" I ask Vana through our link.

I waited a few seconds before I felt Kiera through our connection. "Mistress, we have more than enough stocks of foods for you. The meat that Alarkson hunted for you is more nutritious because it's a meat of magical beasts and animals filled with magic energy. The vegetables, fruits and herbs stored and harvested by Vana is also of outstanding quality."

I felt my mouth water.

Speaking of which, magical beasts meat are rarely eaten by the people in this world, I don't know why, and magical animals are rare in here. They only have ordinary animals like pigs and chickens, magical animals are like upgraded version of these animals.

Still eating, I ask Kiera. "Hey, why don't they eat magical beasts here?"

"I do not know too, Mistress. Perhaps they don't know the effects of eating magical beasts meat?"

I think so too. Aside from the fact that magical beasts don't like humans, they can be contracted too through a pact, if that's how things have been going in here then no one must have yet tried eating magical beasts' meat.

Huh, so that's how it is. I think if these people here studied magical beasts more they might have benefited from it. Consumable magical beasts can be helpful for a person's training and magic.

The golden letters appeared in front of me. I burst out laughing at that, what the heck! I kind of expected that from her but to actually take that seriously, my my, how old is she really?

"My lady?" Elise suddenly asks looking at me, confused. "Is, are you alright my lady?" I quickly nodded my head.

"I am! Don't worry about me. Continue eating."

"You're too serious! I don't mean to call you a cheater, what I really meant is you are too awesome I feel like we're cheating this world!" I explained to her while keeping the laughter to myself.

[I seem to understand what you meant, perhaps you are right.]

She doesn't sound bother that, not even a bit. She's really like a robot programmed to run according to how she was built, I don't know if I should be worried that she is so emotionless or what.

I'm still grateful for help though and that won't change anytime soon. However, if Aya is keeping secrets from me then I will have to uncover those secrets one by one until I completely learn why I'm here and why she chose me, for now, I guess I should just trust her as long as she's helping me.

With that, a scroll appeared in front of me, the scroll is written with a list including a picture. Whoa! It's showing the names, the picture, and even the description of the things, herbs, flowers, and even food.

[I would like to inform you that those listed in that scroll are all the things stored in your house. If you like to know everything inside the world, you may summon the Temporal Record, it includes the map of Luxes, the beings within Luxes and their population.]

"That's amazing! I will check it later, thank you Aya!"

Again, I just said it but having Aya's help is like the ultimate cheat.

Odalf introduced himself to me along with the masked man named Ice, it was only then that I remembered their names. I really suck at remembering names, I'd rather give them nicknames, it's easier to remember it that way.

"We will take turns in guarding my lady, you should take a rest." Blake advised appearing in front of me. He is using his mature body since we went out.

"I haven't asked you why you're not on your boy version. Is it fine if you're looking like that?"

Blake bowed before answering. "Don't worry my lady, I am confident to protect you this way." Seriously, he and Elise got used to bowing and speaking so formally with me that no matter how many time I tell them not to they would not listen.

"It's not about whether you can protect me well in whatever form you use but if are you okay looking like that. Answer me Blake, will you be fine like that?" I ask him seriously while looking at him.

Blake raised his head to look at me and bowed again. Ugh! See, he is as stubborn as mule.

"I will be fine this way, my lady. Sooner or later... I won't need to use my disguise."

I stare at him for a few seconds before patting his shoulder. "Okay. Whatever form you use as long as that's what you want I'll let you. I'll go first." I tell him and walks towards my tent. Elise is inside the carriage helping Odalf with his comrades. I did not bother them and entered my tent.

I couldn't sleep so I read the summoning magic scroll that Aya provided, I got immersed in reading that I did not notice the time. It's Kiera who snap me back to reality.

"Mistress, I can feel a presence of a monster beneath the ground. It seems powerful."

I straightened my back. A monster beneath the ground? A monster and not a magical beast? I was hoping that the presence I felt was a magical beast, I would have tried the taming incantation I once read in Luxes. Oh well, can't be helped.

"What do you think is the level of that monster, Kier?"

"Hm, based on Magia's classification it could be around General to Commander level monster."

Oh wow. Those are the two strongest classifications. Why the hell is there a monster of that level around here?

Not wasting anymore time I step out of my tent and called for Blake.

"My lady."

"Prepare for combat, there's a monster beneath the ground."

Out of nowhere, Ice and Odalf appeared. "A monster? Not a magical beast?" Odalf asks and I nodded my head. He sighs. "f**k. A monster is more dangerous than a magical beast." He said more like to himself. Then he looks at me again, "It's weird than I can't feel its presence but can you tell what level it is?"

"Well..." Considering that a monster is more dangerous than a magical beast, I have a feeling that this will be a problematic battle. "It's around General or Commander level."

Odalf's eyes visibly widen, he paled too. Afterwards he chuckles but it sounded hopeless and cold. "It seems like death himself is following after us." He said while his sweat started to form. He turns to Ice and grip his shoulder. "You go help Miss Elise with our comrades and I will try to buy us some time."

"... I can't." Ice's answer. Even though he's wearing a mask I can tell that he's looking at Odalf seriously based on his tone. "We are comrades. I cannot let you die here, those three won't let you sacrifice yourself for them too."

"Ice...!"

"That's heroic and all but we're here too you know." I interrupted their little argument of who should be left behind and who should escape.

"You... you will help us?" Asks Odalf with his face painted with surprise.

"Of course! Why are you so afraid of, it's just a monster." I said acting tough.

"A General or Commander level one." Ice interjected. I smile at him sarcastically. He can at least raise each other's morale by not saying that.

We figured out a plan to defend and attack at the same time, I'm placed to defend the wounded in the carriage with my light magic, one which is the only magic I can use for now. Blake, Odalf and Ice will be on offense.

"My lady, will they be alright?" Asks Elise while we're inside a protective barrier made of light magic. Aside from them I also need to protect the carriage since Kiera can't carry all of us, it would be a pity to have this carriage broken after the battle.

Speaking of which, I just remembered something.

"Hey Elise," I called her. She turns to me. I lean to whisper. "I think that masked guy knows us."

Elise's forehead creases. "What do you mean my lady?"

"Remember the attack of the demon wolf?" I asks which she nodded her head in response, "we were wearing masks that time right?" She nodded her head again, "I just realized that even though we were wearing masks that time, we were so obvious! I'm sure one of them knows it was us, maybe Odalf and Ice knows!" I exclaimed in whisper.

"Oh..." slowly, realization dawned on Elise's face and her eyes widen. "What should we do, my lady? They knew you were multi-elemental that time." She said in a hushed tone.

"Yeah..." the f**k, lol, to think we exerted effort in wearing mask but we're still too obvious.

Ugh. Who would have thought out paths will cross again.

But they haven't mentioned what happened that time and they also did not ask regarding that incident, have they forgotten? I hope they did!

My eyes widen upon reading that! You know I got used to seeing these golden fonts appearing in front of my very face. "For real!?"

[Of course. Consider it done.]

I thank Aya subconsciously. It's better to have their memories altered because if they knew we were those people they met back in Yabut it would too troublesome. If that word spreads I will be having a difficult time maintaining a low-profile.

Now, we have to patiently wait for that monster, whatever it is, to appear. If it’s easy to escape I would have suggested it but good thing Kiera warned me regarding the scope of the monster’s control.

To think that it is able to surround the area within more than two hundred kilometers radius, just what is this monster and how strong is it?

Not giving me anymore time to ponder, the ground shakes, cracks started to appear. The way the ground shakes is worse than the strongest level of earthquake back on Earth.

... Finally, the most unwanted guest will reveal itself.
