Uncontrolled Wolf

Chapter 6 - Present - Richard There was probably not a word good enough for the expression on everyone's faces at that very moment as they saw their Alpha holding the angry brown wolf that loomed before them. Snarling, he showed his fangs to the young, innocent nurse who was on the floor now, as well as doing the same for the doctor who accompanied her back into the room... The color drained from their faces, and the she-wolf trembled in fear for her life as her eyes stayed on the big white teeth that were prepared to tear off a piece of her skin, making her even forget she could become such a beast too. ... But who could blame her for this? It wasn't every day that she saw a wolf trying to attack her outside of the training grounds, and even worse, one that seemed to be suffering from terrible anger issues... Following the silent instructions of the doctor who was present in the room with Callum and Richard earlier, she left to fetch some sedatives and extra help to deal with the man who had just woken up. But unexpectedly, she never imagined that the other half of her Alpha would easily recognize the smell of the medicine when they passed by the door. ... It wasn't expected as most of the turned ones took months to get used to their new instincts and heightened senses... "YOU! What are you planning to do with this?!" To her surprise, the man who was old enough to be her father suddenly directed his words at her, allowing a growl to accompany them as the woman almost dropping the syringe. "Are you trying to sedate me?! How dare you to think about this?!" Perhaps when he was a Human, Callum would never have recognized such a medicine just by its scent. However, as a Werewolf now, the different smells that made up this sedative became strong in his memories, even if he rarely used it at work. "I'm not crazy! I just want to see my family; why can't you understand this?!" Panting, he continued to say, returning his gaze to Richard. "Ray, please! At least let me see one of them, Juliana or any of the boys. I just want to make sure they are fine." Momentarily attending to seem like he was calmer, he spoke to his old friend only to witness a reaction that made him feel like someone had stabbed his chest with a knife... ... Maybe for anyone else, it would be a big deal, but for him, the sad look that dominated Ray's expression was painful, and the way the other man didn't allow their eyes to meet made it even worse... Consequently, it was more than understandable, the turmoil of emotions that filled his chest in that unstable moment... Which only got more critical when he noticed the presence of the other two strangers approaching him again with the sedatives in their hands. ... Everything was so fast that probably if it were on another occasion, Richard would be proud of his Mate when Callum easily turned into a wolf before them as if it wasn't a big deal... "What are you guys doing?! Quick, get out of there!" Hair falling in his eyes, no one could deny that Coleman's Alpha was quite powerful when he unto such words to the two who were on the floor while he held his Mate, preventing him from hurting them. And so following what had been said to them, the doctor soon got up, helping the nurse who seemed to have lost the strength in her legs, and which only got weaker as Callum continued to growl and snarl at them. ... Fighting more and more against Richard as he allowed his animal side, his instincts to completely dominate him... The man even bit his best friend sometimes in between everything until he heard an unknown voice that was accompanied by a familiar scent... "D-Dad..."  * * * "Quick, give me that!" Quickly picking up the syringe in the doctor's shaking hands, I took advantage of Callum's distraction with Liam's presence to finally sedate him. "Dad!" And seeing the wolf that was in my arms falling against the ground like a sack of potatoes, my son soon ran to his father's side, kneeling before me. "What did you do with him?" Patience clearly not being something that they had a lot. "Don't worry; he'll wake up in a few hours. That's just a tranquilizer to calm him down a bit, as as you can see, he completely lost control in a way that we never expected." Being honest with William, I told him while I was thinking about everything that had just happened as my eyes met with the yet shaking figure of Angela, who had just become a nurse at the Pack's house. ... It could have been just the two-month period, but definitely, she needed a vacation, and I couldn't blame her for that... Everything we had just been through with Callum had been a big surprise for them as it was for me... So allow the young nurses and the other two doctors to have a month off was more than fair after what they just went through seconds ago duo to my Mate. "... I thought you said Dad would never become a wolf..." Bringing me back from my thoughts, I heard Liam comment, looking back at me as Callum's naked figure now rested against the floor... "Well... It was what we all believed in..." Once again, being honest with him, I answered as it was easy to notice the doubt in his voice and eyes while I got up to put my Mate back in bed that had been his friend for the past few years. "No, let me do this." However, before I could even make a step ahead, Liam stopped me, removing Cal from my arms. "Go take care of your arm first before the rest of the Pack starts to think you're going to die because of that." My old friend's bite could have been deep, but like me, William knew it would only take a few minutes for it to heal as if this had never happened... Yet, despite that, I followed his words, allowing him to be alone with his father...  And even if the man was unconscious again, I could only hope that Liam had a better chance than me if Cal woke up in his presence.
