Chapter 5 - Present
"Callum, calm down! I'll talk to you about it later. But for now, you need to listen to us first!" Rushing to his Mate, Richard soon tried to soothe the other man, who had no idea how long had passed since that terrible night.
"N-No! I need to see them! I need to... I need to see my wife and children!" Despite the weakness present in his body and voice, in addition to the fact it failed sometimes, that didn't stop Callum from trying to get out of bed.
... From trying to go looking for the other members of his family in wherever that place was...
"Cal! Please! Calm down!" Concern enveloped Alpha's words even more as he tried to hold his Mate carefully so he wouldn't accidentally hurt him... However, sometimes, a few things are easier to say or think than do in reality...
Callum could be weak, without much strength in his body that hadn't been working for years, yet that didn't stop the adrenaline that ran through his veins along with a new side of him that he had no idea that existed now while his thoughts remained in just one thing... His family.
Claws replaced his nails. Fangs started to grow in his mouth while he didn't even realize what was happening in the midst of his concern to find out what had happened to his children and wife as his last memories were from when he tried to go back inside to be able to help them.
Flames were everywhere as he struggled up the steps due to all the smoke in the place that blinded him and made it difficult to breathe, and the mere thought of remembering it all increased the fear in his heart, making his eyes gleam to everyone's surprise.
... It was a subtle glow... A very quick one. However, it didn't change the fact that it was there for their surprise, allowing Callum almost to escape their hold...
No one was sure whether the other half of their Alpha was really a Werewolf or not...
His transformation was a great mystery for everyone, especially for the Pack's doctors, as some results were similar to their kind, but at other times, he was more Human, especially at times when his life was at risk.
So this was all a big surprise, even if it was nothing compared to what would happen in the next few minutes...
"I want to see them, Ray! Right now! What can you not understand in those words?!" The worry now gave way to anger...
A wave of very powerful anger that Callum couldn't even tell where it was coming from at that moment while he just thought about how he would rip someone's head off soon if they didn't let him see the others soon.
"I want to see my family, Ray! Let me go!" Snarlings left the man's lips as if they were the most natural thing for him to do as he pushed his friend with gleaming eyes again when the doctor there signaled for the nurse to get the sedatives. "Let me go!"
However, the power hidden in Callum's voice almost made her fall in fear when she was leaving, and one wrong sentence from him would be enough to make the others unable to help their Alpha any longer...
... After all, Cal might be weak, but he was still a powerful wolf's Mate, making him dangerous when unstable, aside from the fact that he was their other leader without even knowing about this, and they all could notice it in his voice...
Yet, nothing of these was compared to the real chaos that would break out there when the nurse returned to the room!
