The Luna Sings

Chapter 4

* After my talk with Teagan, I felt a whole lot better. I was still going to be sarcastically rude to these guys, but, I will do it with a smile on my face.

I'm in such a good mood, that I let Ben and Teagan be partners for the second half of class, while I partnered up with Raegan. He was a perfect gentleman, and he didn't try to go overboard and sneak a touch or grab.

Hey, bro bro, we're going to have to share Teags, okay,?" I say to Ben, as I hold my hand up to hi five him. He does it with a smile and agrees. I understand that when they are announced as mates and the bond is completed, there will be no sharing, but until then, we can share.

"She thinks she's a dude," says some girl that was watching Alpha Jr.. I guess they don't like that he hangs with me and Teagan, since we aren't popular. (Well not as popular as them, and not popular for a good reason) Trust me girls, if I could get rid of them, I would.

I smile and I walk over to her. "I'm very much a girl, and, I love being a girl," "I don't have to have half of my ass out, or pink and sparkly things to show that,"

"Well you don't only dress like a boy, you act like a boy, too," she says with a smirk. "What about you Janice,?" "You make fun of people, but no one ever talks about how you went to California and came back talking like a Valley girl, and that, was back in middle school,"

"And at least they are being themselves unlike you, you're just as fake as the blonde highlights in your hair," she looks embarrassed as everyone laughs. I feel bad, but I can't take it back now. "You look way better as a brunette anyways," I say, trying to lesson her embarrassment.

Raegan walks up to me and smiles. ''Let's go," he says as he wraps his arm around my shoulders. ''Where,?" I ask as we walk towards the bleachers. "Away, from this embarrassing scene," "If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen!" says Teagan from behind me.

Then she runs up and puts her arm around my waist, causing me to smile at her cute shortness, and I wrap my arm around her waist too. Ben looks at us with puppy dog eyes, so I whisper for her to bring him to the bleachers to sit with us and his eyes light up, when she walks over to him.

Raegan's chuckle reminds me that he still has his arm around my shoulder.

"Get off me dude," I say removing his arm, causing them to laugh. He smiles. "It lasted longer, than, I thought it would," I shrug.

"What,?" I ask as Zair smirks at me. "You stood up for yourself, then you started to back out when she felt bad," "So what,?" "Nothing, I'm just trying to figure you out," "Me too," says Raegan. My eyes get big as I look from Zair to Raegan. (I tried to put up with these fools, but, they are doing to much)

''I'm pretty sure you have better things to do with your free time, than to worry about me" "If not, you're not trying hard enough and I'm worried about the future of this pack," They laugh so hard, that everyone looks our way. I feel like telling Teagan to meet me at my house after school and bolting for the door right now.

"The bell is about to ring, so I'm going to change" I say as I stand. "I'll go with you," says Teagan standing and walking towards me. "No, it's fine," "The bell is about to ring anyways," "I'll see you after school" she says to Ben, turning his frown upside down. She hooks her arm with mine and we walk to the showers.

"Teagan, look!" I say as we walk past Mrs. Primm's classroom. "I actually put this up with Jacob, but, I guess I wasn't paying attention," "I just needed a break from those guys," ''I'm sorry, it's not bad when it's just Ben, but dealing with all three of them is a bit much" "I'm not friendly like you" "Yes you are, why do you think they like you?" "Because, they love to see me suffer" "Where do you come up with this stuff,?" she laughs.

"I swear, I have tried my hardest to get rid of them, but they only laugh at me," "You don't know how to be mean" "Well, I was mean to Janice" "Well, she provoked you," I shrug. "I guess, I'm not as much of a bad ass as I thought" she giggles and side hugs me. "Let's go, home,"

Teagan follows me to my house. I know that she has plans with Ben for later and I've made plans with my wolf Asha, so I won't be entirely alone. "Okay, I'm going for my run, but, when you finish with your boyfriend come see me," I say as I nudge her, causing her to giggle.

"He's not my boyfriend," she says with a huge smile. "Not yet, but I can tell by the way he looks at you, that he, really likes you," "Really!" "Who wouldn't like you,?" "You know all the boys are always whistling at you" she giggles and shakes her head.

We walk to her house as Ben is pulling up. "Bye lovebirds," I say as I wave goodbye. They smile shyly and wave.

When I get to the woods, I take off my clothes to shift, then I let Asha take over. "You don't know how amazing this feels," she says after getting into the lake after her long run. ''You just take your time, because I'm in no rush and I only want to be back by dinner time"

"Well, it's almost dinner time," "Yeah, but we're waiting for my mom to get home from work, so we'll be eating dinner late" "Awesome," she says in low relaxed tone as she swims around causing me to chuckle.

I walk across my yard, just as Teagan is saying goodbye to Ben. She gives him a kiss on the cheek and I would pay to see his expression. I smile as I walk up the steps to my porch and I sit and wait for her.

She runs over squealing, of course. She's excited because that was her first kiss. It still counts I guess, it is still a kiss. (No one specified, that it hand to be on the lips) I chuckle as she sits down with a huge smile on her face.

"I can't believe, I kissed him!" "Come on, let's go to my room," I say standing. "Oh right, your dad," My dad is very not jealous with my mom, but, I expect him to be with me, even though, I've never given him a reason to. I guess it may also be from what happened to me years ago.

She starts telling me everything, as soon as I close my door. About how he was so shy and how she had to grab his hand, and how she also had to do most of the talking. "He is such a gentleman," she sighs.

I laugh and we talk a little more until my dad calls us for dinner. "So how have you girls been,?" He asks. "Pretty good,'' ''We're going to the karaoke club tomorrow night, so mom won't have to work late" I say as she walks into the kitchen.

"Great, there are so many people asking for Yaya," "I know, but I can't exactly tell them that school and sports come first," "We're actually thinking about joining the school play" says Teagan. "Oh that, sounds interesting," says my mom, after she explains that it's a Christmas play.

"I don't want a huge part, I'll just take a background role," I say. "You should try out for the role for Cinderella!" I say to Teagan. ''No, I'll try for one of the evil step sisters" "Come on Teags, you're a great actress and singer," "I personally don't know how to show very many emotions besides sarcasm and I'm doubting my skills in that too," I say causing them to laugh. (But again, I'm serious)

After dinner, Teagan and I take turns showering and then we go to sleep.
