-HER- My words took him by surprise. I couldn’t have been more grateful for my stubborn side in such a situation. He watched me fix my dress heatedly before I walked out of the restroom.  I was surprised that no one really noticed our absence. The conversation around the table flowed smoothly as I took my seat quietly. He didn’t follow me out right away.
