"What are you doing?" Lori asks, looking at James. "You look like you've just seen the Big Bad Wolf."
"You could say that, too," James says, looking at the phone in his hand.
"Stallion, did he say that Mer was his mate or did I go crazy?" he asks his wolf in horror.
"Call him and ask him one more time.” Stallion says agitatedly. "If he is, we are doomed."
"My love, you are acting strange, what is happening with you?" Lori asks again but this time James takes her and puts her in his lap and signals to her to calm down. He takes his phone and calls Max again, putting him on the speaker so that Lori can hear it too.
“Max, sorry. I accidentally dropped the phone on the floor. ”James tells him and then looks at Lori. "I didn't understand what the icing on the cake was ."
