Ares P. O. V.
I pushed big Mike on the table and held his head firmly against it. He struggled to get out of my grasp but I was too strong. He wiggled underneath like a pathetic little worm and I almost wanted to laugh. But I decided not to. No need to mock the poor thing. I was eventually planning on killing him anyway.
"Please... tell me what I took and I'll give it back." He cried like a baby.
Fucking dumbass. I was tempted to tell him what it was that he took but decided against it because it won't make any difference. He was scheduled to die anyways. Right here and right now.
I lift his head so his throat is exposed and placed the cold steel of my blade on his bare skin.
“No…please…have mercy. I’ve never done anything to you. I have a family!” Mike pleaded again
Always with the same pleading. Everyone uses this exact same line.
Please, don’t kill me. I have a family.
Like telling me this will change anything. What do I know about family anyway? I am an orphan. It makes no difference to whether my victims have a family or not. All he was doing right now was wasting my time and I have better things to do.
With a quick swinging motion, I sliced at his throat with a straight razor. One of my favorite weapons because it makes me feel like I'm from an old gangster movie.
Crimson red liquid started to pour out of his throat and he started to make a gurgling sound as he choked to death. Someone gasped outside the door.
Shit... did I leave the door open? Father would have my head if he found out I was careless at the job. I let go of Mike's head and walked towards the door and opened it wider.
There she was, the girl from the cupcake shop, standing by the door wide-eyed. She looked different with her hair down and that sexy black dress, but it was unmistakably the same girl. I'd recognize those huge green eyes anywhere.
She is pretty cute so too bad I'm gonna have to kill her now.
She just stood there. Her face is frozen in fear. She opened her mouth to say something but closed it again and stared at my hand which was holding the bloody razor.
I grabbed her wrist and dragged her inside then slammed the door shut. I started to bring the razor up to swing at her throat.
"WAIT!" She suddenly screamed and I paused. "Before you go all Jack the ripper on me I have something to say."
Normally, I don't waste time listening to blabbering witnesses but this time I was slightly intrigued. This girl was scared but I noticed a child-like curiosity in her eyes so I decided to humor her a little.
I waved my hands. "Alright, go ahead, but make it quick cause I've got a dead body to clean up," I said and pointed at Mike whose blood was all over the table.
"You don't have to kill me. As far as the bearded man is concerned I didn't see anything. I don't even know who that is so I don't care what you did to him. I swear on my cat, Mr. Boots. So just let me go and I'll walk away as nothing happened." The girl finished her speech and sighed.
I sighed too. If only it was that easy. It's not like I enjoy going around killing innocent people, but she saw me and most likely remembered me from the cupcake shop. As a key witness, she could put my career in jeopardy.
"I'll let you have free cupcakes for the rest of your life!" She said all of a sudden.
Is this chick for real? She is trying to bribe me with cupcakes? I've had many people begging me to spare them and offered me money, power, women, but never desserts. This girl must be nuts if she thinks it'll sway me.
"Tempting, but unfortunately you've seen too much." I moved closer to her.
"Hold up Mr. Gorgeous! There must be something I can do?" She backed away.
"Mr. what?" I started to say...
"Never mind that, I was just saying. We can make a deal. I can't offer you any money because I'm a broke b***h, but there must be something. Dying black dahlia murder style is cool and all, but I am too pretty to die!" She pleaded.
I was confused. She is making jokes? Does she not realize I could slice her up like a pineapple? I did what I've never done before and reconsidered my options.
I could have some real fun with this one.
