I can feel Aaron’s nerves as he tightly clutches my hand. I look at him and smile. He’s taller than me, over six feet tall, to my five foot seven, and he’s so handsome. I find myself looking at him without realizing I’m staring. He catches me and smiles that movie star smile, and my heart flutters.
I can feel his hand shaking in mine. Aaron has nothing to fear from my family. They won’t hurt him, but he isn’t to know that. After everything he’s been through, only a fool would think Aaron wouldn’t be fearful.
