An hour later, Erik sat at a table in the galley of the Argo with Jia, Priya, and Emma.
Erik and Jia had contacted the ID agent for a meeting. With Emma and Cutter on surveillance, the ship seemed like the best place to meet. They didn’t know who or what might be watching them in the city, and it was also a good opportunity to see if anyone knew the true way they’d arrived on Venus.
Emma’s coverage of the local area didn’t detect any suspicious people or anomalies. They’d managed to keep some secrets from their mysterious new friend.
“Did you check on what I asked about?” Erik watched Priya, looking for any sign she might be lying.
