Chapter Three
Jordan Lancaster
I got off work early and drove straight home knowing Delores would be home.
I pulled out in the garage and got out of my red convertible. Brianna was standing outside.
She had a scowl on her beautiful face. Her long blonde hair falling over her shoulder.
"What's wrong now?"
"She's still upstairs in her room. She hasn't come down to eat. Maybe you should be a little considerate with her."
That made me sad. When I was leaving this morning, she was still in bed weeping.
"I didn't mean to carry out my anger on her last night but I felt so sad and betrayed."
"Well, tell her something to get her to calm down."
"Fine."
I went upstairs to my room.
I entered my room and found her absent. I looked around, closing the door behind me.
Then she came out of my walk in closet.
"You're back?"
"I am." The resemblance was too much.
The exact copy of Delilah stood there and I knowing that that wasn't my fiancée made my heart hurt.
The forest green eyes, the hair but Delores had blonde hair. And this one looked innocent.
"Can we get somethings cleared?" I suggested and she nodded obediently.
She walked over, looking down at herself.
"Are you a shy type?"
"Not really." She looked up, her gaze meeting mine, confidently.
"What do you want to show me?"
"My rules, Delores. I have them documented here." I walked over to the desk at the corner and took out a document from my desk.
"Rules?"
"Yes. This marriage is more like an agreement so we have to make it professional." I stated.
She thought about it and nodded.
"Fine with me. Can I read through?"
"Of course." She took it from me and read through. Sitting down on the bed, she went through.
"I will take a shower."
Delores Jackson
I sat down and went through the file.
* You are too stick to your end of the bargain. We have three months to wait for Delilah.
*You can't run away from me until the three months elapses.
*You have the right to have fun with whom you please but be discreet.
*There will be no s****l misconduct between us.
I stopped reading and took a pen from the desk and signed the contract.
It seemed a little agreeable.
I took in a deep breath when Alvin's situation came to mind again.
What was I going to tell him?
The bathroom door opened and he came out.
He was in grey sweatpants and tee shirt.
I turned to him.
"I won't break up with my boyfriend, right?" I couldn't help but ask.
"No. I never knew you had a boyfriend."
"Alvin and I have been together for a long time. He doesn't even know about this whole thing." I opened my arms, exasperatedly.
He sat down in the couch, still wiping the water out of his hair.
"I don't want to destroy that relationship. If you really love him." He told me and I nodded.
"I just want you to understand that I really need this marriage thing for something that's why I can't postpone things. And can you honestly tell me where Delilah is?" He asked, his gaze fixated on me.
I looked away nervously. I didn't want to lie to Jordan and at the same time didn't want to betray my sister.
"Can..... Can we just forget about her for the time being? Besides I'm here and no one is going to know about what happened. I don't intend to tell anyone."
"You are here, huh? Can you give me what a guy craves for? You can't, Delores. I hope you don't mind if I sleep around because I'm a man and I have my needs." He elaborated and I just gave a shrug.
"Delilah should be the one to worry about that one. I don't care what you do with your life as long as I'm at liberty to meet my boyfriend." I told him and he nodded.
"You can sleep here tonight. I'll use the couch." He said and I nodded, getting under the covers. Hoping that I'd be able to sleep well.

I watched Delores disappear into the fluffy duvets.
My mind quickly moved to where Delilah was. I was feeling so mad that she left me.
I'm sure it's another man. If it's not, what could make her abandon me like that?
What did I do to make her do this to me? Wasn't my love enough?
