Once Joel disappeared around the corner in his search for the gardener, Piper turned to Charles with a smile.
"Since you still have the only official key for Samuel"s office, would you mind opening it up for me?"
The older man smiled back at Piper and waved his hand for her to lead the way through the sliding glass doors and into the house. She made a movement to pick up the now empty glasses of lemonade, but he stopped her, telling her he would come back and take care of them while she looked around the office.
