CHAPTER EIGHTEEN.
The D-day was here, today was the opening of Alyana's chocolate shop. She went to the office to sort some things out before going to the chocolate shop.
"That's very important, don't forget to update me later, okay," Alyana said.
"Okay ma'am, good luck." Secretary Daina replied before leaving.
Alyana was close to her office when she noticed Oliver"Oliver, what brings you here?" She asked.
"I am here to pick you up, let's go to the chocolate shop together," Oliver said, gesturing to her.
Alyana smiled at Oliver nodding her head to leave when Diana walked up to them.
"Miss Alyana, someone left this at my desk earlier, it's a package for you," Diana said, passing Alyana a purse.
"Oh okay, thank you," Alyana said, collecting the purse.
"You're welcome ma'am," Diana replied before leaving.
Alyana opened the purse and gasped quickly.
"What is in it Alyana?" Oliver asked.
"These are my mama's earrings, Oliver," Alyana replied, showing Oliver the earrings.
"Wait, are those what you were looking for last night?" Oliver asked.
"Yes there are but how did they get here?" Alyana asked.
"Maybe one of the janitors found them somewhere and brought them here," Oliver answered like he didn't know anything about it.
"Whosoever it is, I am just glad the person found it. I think this is a good sign for us Oliver," Alyana replied smiling.
"Me too," Oliver said snickering.
Alyana realized what she said and quickly muttered" I mean a good sign for the chocolate shop, forget what I just said let's get going before we get late."
Oliver couldn't help but smile at the way Alyana was shy before following her from behind.
The opening of the chocolate shop was successful, and many bloggers and people attended the opening. It was a happy day for Alyana, Mr.Edmund was so proud of Alyana, that he purchased chocolate before leaving. Camilla also attended the opening, she was glad the opening was a success.
Mr. Robert asked Oliver for suggestions on the best chocolate to get for someone special, Oliver showed him the best flavors before excusing himself to attend to other customers.
Alyana was busy adjusting the chocolate when Mrs.Lucille entered the shop.
"Hello," Mrs.Lucille greeted.
"Hi, Aunty Lucille," Alyana replied, pecking Lucille's cheeks.
"No customers?" Lucille asked.
"There was a long queue of customers here earlier, almost all the chocolate ran out of stock," Robert explained looking at Lucille.
"I will have my staff refill all the jars so that you can have varieties of choice to pick from if you will excuse me," Alyana said before moving to the kitchen.
"Okay," Robert and Lucille replied.
"For you," Robert said, giving Lucille a packaged bag.
"Robert stop it, I am already married," Lucille replied scowling
"I know that but you don't love him, I am the one you love Lucille," Robert let out.
"You know nothing about the way I feel Robert, you are right, I loved you so much but you didn't dare to stand by me, you didn't have the gut to leave your wife for me," Lucille answered back.
"Was that why you moved to another department so that you could become Henry's wife, you became his secretary on purpose?" Robert asked.
"Don't you dare accuse me of anything, I wanted to be away from you, it was never my intention to fall in love with Henry," Lucille replied angrily.
"Lucille, please listen to me, my annulment with my wife has been finalized, we can now be together," Thomas said holding her hands.
"It's already too late Robert, I am married to a good man who loves me unconditionally, I can't betray him. I am sorry," Lucille replied before leaving.
Back at Leonardo's residence. He was in the dining having some tea when Mrs. Elizabeth entered, she took a seat after exchanging greetings with Leonardo.
"Today is the opening of Edmund's chocolate shop and from what I heard it was a success and that is bad news for us, they got lucky with their business venture," Mrs. Elizabeth said, looking worried.
"Have you heard any news on how their chocolate tastes?" Leonardo asked.
"Perhaps it is unique since the people loved it, it grew a lot of customers from what I heard," Mrs. Elizabeth explained.
"If that is the case they must have a very good chocolatier," Leonardo said sipping his tea.
"According to the press release, his name is Oliver, Oliver Rodriguez, and there said he didn't attend any culinary school, all he learned was from helping his mother in the kitchen and from what she taught him before she passed away," Mrs. Elizabeth explained.
"Very much like you grandma," Leonardo said making Mrs. Elizabeth chuckle.
"I just hope our brand doesn't go down too much, we need a new way to advertise our brand," Mrs. Elizabeth said.
"Don't worry grandma, it will be okay, people still love our brand," Leonardo said assuring Mrs. Elizabeth.
"That reminds me, grandma, Kyle, and I talked last night, and guess what she told me," Leonardo asked making Mrs.Elizabeth curious.
"What did she tell you?" Mrs. Elizabeth asked.
"She told me she was ready to quit practicing law and was ready to focus on being a good wife and mother, she is ready to make our family hold again," Leonardo explained, smiling with his teeth wide open. He couldn't help but remember the ecstatic night he and Kyle had. It made him blush so hard.
"Finally, this is good news Leonardo, this made my day. I am so happy for both of you, what about Kyle, where is she, I need to congratulate her also," Mrs. Elizabeth mumbled.
"She had to leave early to sort things out, she had to return all the pending cases assigned to her to avoid further complications," Leonardo explained.
"Okay, I am glad she finally saw things the right way, I am sure Mateo will be happy to spend more time with his mother," Mrs. Elizabeth said.
"He isn't the only happy one, but Mateo will be extremely happy because he loves his mother so much, I am glad things are working out for our family," Leonardo said.
"I hope it continues to work out well," Mrs. Elizabeth muttered.
"I hope so too," Leonardo replied.
