Nagising si Sam sapo ang ulo ay agad siyang lumingon upang hanapin si Dominic, she smiled seeing him still asleep.
It was six in the morning and her head hurts and so is her heart. She called for room service and went to the bathroom to fix herself. She began crying as soon as she caught a glance of her face.
She went inside the shower with her clothes on and turn on the shower. She just stood there crying hindi niya alam kung ilang minuto na siya naroon naramdaman niya lamang ang paghinto ng patak ng tubig at ang pagkalabit ni Dom.
"Hey!" he said na nakapagpabalik ng isipan niya
"I'll just finish taking a shower" sabi niya saka sinara ang sliding door.
It took her an hour to finish at ng lumabas siya ay malamig na ang pagkain na kanyang inorder.
"I won't ask you if your okay dahil alam kong hindi ka okay. Manatili ka muna dito hanggang sa makabou ka ng desisyon" simula ng lalaki habang nilalagyan siya ng pagkain sa plato
"kailan ang balik mo sa Costa?" tanong niya
"Sa susunod na araw, take this first" sagot nito saka iniabot ang gamot
"I'll go with you. I guess it's time for me to leave since the company is doing well na with Formentera" she said then took the pill
"Are you sure?" panigurado nito
"yeah,there is no use staying here" she said then started to eat her food.
Dominic went out for a business meeting and made her swear not to do anything stupid. She smiled upon seeing how worried he was and as soon as he left she started doing her work. She needs to finish this before leaving, hinanap niya ang cellphone niya at napailing ng makitang lowbat pala ito.
"Oh crap!" nasapo niya tuloy ang ulo ng pumitik ito habang hinahanap ang charger sa bag
"Never will I drink again" pagsisisi niya. Sumikip tuloy ang dibdib niya ng makita ang wallpaper ng cellphone niya ng ma on ito.
It was her and Ares in Singapore during their fifth anniversary, it was also the time when Ares gave her the necklace.
She can't help it but tears fell down on her eyes as she think of their memories together. Hinamig niya ang sarili saka ibinalik ang pansin sa ginagawa ilan sandali ang nakalipas ay tumunog ang cellphone niya, it was Ares.
Tinitigan niya lamang ang screen ng telepono hanggang sa matapos ang pag ring niyon. Makailang beses na tumawag ito pero she never had the guts to answer it for her everything is over between them last night.
She was about to turn her phone off when Chase called her
"Good morning, Sir" bati niya sa kabilang linya
"How are you?" nag-aalalang tanong nito
"I'm good. Sir, u-uhm I won't be able to report today but I will email everything to you. Natapos ko na ang kontrata para sa itatayong factory and I guess its time for me to l-leave" she said with no emotion
"B-but..."
"It was Laurice who told me to stay hanggang sa masigurado na okay ka at ang kompanya, Chase" she sighed as soon as she thought of her friend
"alam kong okay ka na at ang kompanya kaya panahon na rin na umalis ako gaya ng pangako ko sa kaibigan ko" she said trying to hide her pain
"Laurice..."
"Don't worry about her she's in good hands and if you two were really meant for each other the right time will come for you to meet once again" malungkot niyang sabi
"how about you? Hindi ka lang ba lalaban?" tanong nito
"There's no use in fighting, he gave up already. Thank you Chase and don't worry tatapusin ko lahat ng papers and contracts. I will send it to you as soon as I finished it along with my resignation" she said trying to sound tough
"Thank you for everything Sam and please take good care of yourself and Laurice" he said then hung up the phone.
She then called her secretary Monet
"Good morning, Ms. Samantha" magiliw na bati nito
"Good morning, Monet. Remember the folder I told you to keep?" I asked her
"Y-yes ma'am. Are you okay?" she sound concern
"Y-yeah. Please bring that folder and meet me tomorrow" she said with heaviness in her heart
"Ma'am, nandito po pala kanina si Sir Ares tinatanong po kung saan ka at mukhang nag-away sila ni Sir Chase kasi duguan po ang bibig pag-alis"
"Sabihin mong hindi mo alam kung nasaan ako at hindi mo ako ma-contact okay?" she said bago tinapos ang tawag.
Napabuntong hininga naman siya ng tumawag si Mellie
"Sam, I heard the news from my husband. where are you? Are you fine?" suno-sunod na tanong nito ni hindi man lang siya nakapag hello sa kaibigan
"i'm not Mellie, ang sakit pala sobrang sakit" she said. Hindi niya na mapigilan ang sariling emosyon ng makausap ang matalik na kaibigan
"where are you? Pupuntahan kita" hindi niya man ito nakikita ay alam niyang umiiyak ito
"don't worry i'm good. Isa pa kapapanganak mo lang" natatawang wika niya
"Thank you, Mellie" she said but Mellie suddenly scream
"Paalisin mo ang gagong yan dito sa bahay"
"Hey Mellie, okay ka lang ba?" nag-aalala niyang tanong
"the bastard is here. Call you later okay?" Mellie said to her She could still hear her say get out before the call ended.
A sighed came out of her. She took her phone and stares at their pictures together, she cried hard as she started deleting everything.
Dom then called to check on her and assure him that she is alive and okay and soon as the call ended, Ares name flashed on the screen calling her again. She smiled bitterly as she turn her phone off. She then deactivated all her social media account.
She cried again thinking about Ares and her, she never cpuld have thought that they will end up like that. Akala niya ay okay silang dalawa, na mahal na mahal nila ang isa't isa but she's wrong.
The hardest and biggest decision she ever did was to let go and to begin again, alone. She smiled bitterly while crying, it's over.
