Chapter 9While Wolfe sipped his Irish coffee, his eyes catching the light, Gaspard watched him, forgetting the bustling dining room around them. He could only see Wolfe. Nothing else existed anymore. Every one of his fears had been unfounded. They’d had a great time. Wolfe had enjoyed the food and not been so guarded with him tonight. Conversation was easy with him. They’d laughed a lot, which he hadn’t been prepared for. Wolfe was quick-witted and had kept him interested all through dinner with stories of his time as a recovery counselor in Vancouver.
