Chapter 8Wolfe walked around the empty third floor, making sure everything was shut off and properly locked. Everyone had gone, and because Zack hadn’t come to work today, he was the only one staying late tonight. He didn’t like seeing an empty chair in Zack’s office. He’d missed him dearly today. Pausing at the entrance door, Wolfe looked back at the YBR’s broad and dark lobby. If only its walls could talk, the YBR would have countless stories to tell. Stories of hardship and loss, but of joy and friendship as well. He was blessed to come here every day, though the task was sometimes almost more than he could handle.
