"Mr. Vamos, meet Vivian", Mr. James bowed. I curled my hair around in a sensual air, before bowing halfway. "She is our replacement for Mrs Eva" Dressed in a well-fitted black suit and a bomber jacket, I was well-equipped with sturdy shoes, an earpiece, and a gun holster. Vivian seemed extra planned to get her appearance right. The Secret Service team's head was already head over heels for me. Vamos. As my eyes lit on his face for a moment, I was torn apart by how handsome and horrific a man could look. He had a rugged appearance, unshaven stubble, intense eyes, and an untamed ponytail of hair. Heavy-duty jackets and cargo pants held his body, diverting my attention from all the looks to a farmer standing. Six feet and sturdy, he resembled a dad figure. Not easy to knock into marriage. "Vivian?" His voice made me shiver a bit. "Welcome to the service" I felt very welcomed, for a tiny second. Until he thrashed it onto the floor, "Give her some food. She looks ......thin to be a bodyguard" Fucking no way. Though my jaws clenched and my brows raised, I shared not an ounce of intimidation or arrogance. My experience with the elite world started at the age of fifteen. Turning thirty-two in two months, this was way beyond child's play for me. I wasn't here to be impressed. It was he. "Thank you for the concern, mi lord. I shall keep that into consideration." I twisted my head at Mr James, the head of the Secret Service department, and crushed my eyes, "My protein powder is back at home, unfortunately. Where can I get some here in this forest?" Vamos's kingdom as one would say, was a globe of buildings and industries in the middle of the Likely Forests. The flora got its name after it was unlikely to find someone who came here by mistake. A few said the animals hunted them, others predicted ghosts of the pre-trespassers who were haunting them. Either way, people didn't make the mistake of consistently traveling here unless it was vital. And for it me, nothing seemed not important. This was a mission like any other. Get Vamos .....seduced. The man wasn't so attractive himself, so I exited alongside James, my eyes hovering over him. He sat on a lush couch, arms raised till they cupped the edge of the seat. Posh and promiscuous. He had the least concern over what people thought of him. If people admired the rugged appearance, I felt it as a robbed look of a man stuck in his own world. "How annoying can a person like him be?" James was stunned for a second before he continued walking. He was in his late twenties, definitely younger than me. A sway of his hips and that sullen smile showed a silent kid underneath the hard exterior. Dressed in a black suit as mine, he looked buff and an extensive workout guy, with contains of protein powder in his cupboard and a bunch of love letters. "You don't know about SIR Vamos. He rules over the world" I wanted to laugh, but I didn't. If there was one thing I learned working for the rich was, it was their attitude that planned most matters, not their head. One minute of indecency, and I would be thrown out. I couldn't afford that. King's trust and the stakes were pretty high. "Sorry James. I gathered" The corners of his lips twitched, "That's alright. Come. Let's meet others" We exited the huge monument of a house and made it to the right, where forests were cleared recently. It led through grape vines and creepers, landing in a perfectly maintained garden. I saw an old man, gray stubble and hair, watering the plants. He didn't even look me in the eye, just bowed halfway with our arriving presence. A little girl about four was running through the garden with a broken rag doll in her hands. She gave me the first proper grin making me smile. We crossed the beautiful land and reached a tiny hut. It was thatched and whitewashed, looking decently decorated. It wasn't one. At least five of them extended hand in hand, till the end where fountains stood. "This is our place" Oh of course. The huts were named A to E, and had a bedroom and bathroom each. "Oris and his team will serve us food. We can clean our clothes there", he pointed at a nearby block of soap powder and water. "No washing machine?" James's eyes widened, "We came here to work." Oh yeah. I sighed. The elite treated poor people like they were garbage tossed around; not a new scene, but a disgusting one. "This is where Eva stayed", he showed me the hut with a wooden carved letter E. I got inside and found a cupboard of clothes. The place was a mess. Panties and laces were scattered on the floor: two beds, and a bathroom. Someone was showering inside. "That is Hazel. She has taken...leave for a while" I nodded at the mess. "Eva's demise added to her discomfort. No worries. When she gets okay, you can talk to her" I wasn't here to make friends. "Right James. Thank you" He left the scene. I stared at the place which was such a mess. In five minutes, I cleaned it up, dumping the smelly ones onto a garbage can and the others on her bed. Still in the black suit, I stuffed my Bluetooth headphones on and played my favorite calming playlist starting from 'golden hour' to 'be alright'. My eyes closed with the sensations of music and the comfortable mattress. Until I dozed off. A woman staring into my soul, caught me off guard. The minute my eyes opened, large brown eyes and the scent of coffee and jasmine hit across my sense organs, almost hitting our foreheads together. Golden hour was on loop, and my Bluetooth headphones jumped to the floor as I pulled myself up. How long did I sleep for? My ears were empty and the roars of voices came along. She was in a blue shirt and pants, lean for her age, and freckles running across each cheek. "You're the new one?" I nodded, "The fresh applicant" "On what basis?", she frowned so fast, that I felt the displeasure travel through air like a lightning strike. "On the basis of talent and looks", I got up and stared at the clock. Jesus, dozing off for one hour wasn't nice. "I am tired", stretching my limbs while cutting off anything she had to say, I grabbed two of her clean clothes and smirked, "These..I am borrowing" "Hey!", she came to slap but I was inside the bathroom already. Freshening up before summoning was a Vivian thing. Let's be honest, Vivian was a form of role-play I loved to do in all my career. And to be her, once again. Damn. It felt nice. I wasn't craving attention or anything from nobody. No friends or many; I didn't care. Vamos was my target and amidst the hundred problems that could arrive, he was number one. It was my lucky era since someone called Eva passed away, or else I would be Ava or Riya and his f*****g intern. Somehow I had to crawl in here to complete this lottery ticket. If this was over with, me and King could marry. We can have a sexy honeymoon in the Maldives and work maybe years later. Vamos was the trump card. "GET OUT" I sighed, coming back to reality. This Hazel was going to be a pain in the ass for sure. Combing and washing, I dressed and exited in few minutes. Hazel was sitting on her bed, all ready for work. The suit gave her a fierce look but nothing else did. She looked like a baby going to cry. How pathetic! How could she be protecting someone like Vamos? I gave her a fake smile and made my way to the door when a shrill voice arrived. "I don't like people wearing my stuff" This girl.. I turned around and nodded. "Oh, sorry. Won't repeat it" "You won't?" Brown baby eyes begging for reassurance. "No", I gave hundreds of broken promises every day. A tiny one again won't matter. Besides, I was too lazy to pack my clothes and walk in here. Most of my clothes were too grand to make me look like a guard. My disguises and fake identities made it easier to merge into my surroundings and use other people's items, so in case I get caught, I lose nothing. "Come, let's go" And we both walked to the monument hand in hand.
