Alexander POV

There was no way I was going back to my pack without my mate, and I was leaving in two weeks, and I had to convince her to come along. I had one glorious morning with my mate so much fun I was late to work, and I was met with a seething Carmen.

“Are you going to always be here at the crack of dawn” I said as I unlocked my door entering my office

She came in right behind me and slammed my door.

“What are you doing, I tell you that we are having a baby and you just brush me off like I’m nothing.”

“Carmen, I’ll take care of my responsibility as far as the baby goes, but as for us we are done” I said as I started up my computer

“What do you mean we are done. Is it because of her your new assistant, she is not even your type. I saw you last night when I came back by, and I waited there for you all night and you never showed back up.” she said scoffing

“How do you know what my type is? Did you forget how we met; you were nothing but a f**k for me. How you managed to get this far I have no idea, and if you really wanted to be technical…You. Are. Not. My. Type., and you know I do not go for blondes. But somehow you finagled your way in.”

“Okay, but she is not one of us, you can’t really be serious about her.”

“I am”

“Why, why are you so enthralled with her. What does she have that I do not or any other female that you just toss away”

At this point she was screaming and completely out of her mind.

“Huh what is Alexander, did you go to the other side and get hooked. She is human for goddess’s sake an alpha need to be with another alpha. We can rule this city and your pack as well if we go back, I will make a great Luna and not to mention we possibly have an heir already. That black b***h has nothing on me so kick her to the curb and.”

“And what……”

I came around my desk and stood in front of her.

“If you ever call my mate out her name again that will be the last thing you ever say.” Now get the f**k out and I don’t want to see you again until the baby is born.” I said in my alpha tone.

She could not do anything else but bare her neck to me in submission. She just stood there not moving or saying a word.

“Wh--What…...that’s, that’s impossible how are you mated to a human” she said stuttering with tears in her eyes.

“I guess not too impossible. Bye Carmen” I said as I busied myself with work

The morning seemed to go by in a blur I looked up from my work to a knock on my door, and to my surprise it was my parents.

I invited them in while locking my door and frosting up the windows to give us some privacy.

“What are you doing here” I said as I motioned them to take a seat

“Well, we didn’t want to discuss this matter over the phone” my father said

“Okay, I mean I can kind of guess what it is”

“Then it should be no problem then, you can come back home and reclaim your title”

I already knew that was coming up and I was dreading going back and seeing them well Derek anyway. I heard Selena left and never came back, and in a way, I was glad that Derek did not get her either. I was not worried about that I had a second chance, and I was not going to ruin it. I was going to go back bigger and better than ever and show them all that I wasn’t phased by that. Plus, I had one hot mate on my arm that was going to prove her place as their Luna and my mate.

“I know, give me two weeks to get my affairs in order and I’ll be there” I told them not mentioning my mate. I wanted that to be a surprise for everyone.

We talked for a couple more hours before they got back on the road heading home.

I saw that my mate finally made it to work and got right down to business I am glad I decided not to let her go. While she was busy working, I could not help but smell her arousal. Damn this woman will be the death of me if she does not stop getting aroused.

After my mate finshed with my calendar, I called her into my office to make sure she was okay. I could not help but to notice that she kept looking back like she was afraid of something, and then she finally told me about how some women approached her telling her about what I do.

I was able to make her understand a little bit and I was relieved when she said she would research all about my kind. The mate bond is an extraordinarily strong bond that I cannot just overlook so easily. She will find out how strong that bond is soon. It is a bond that cannot be easily broken and my eyes and body will be hers and hers only and vice versa.

After I talked business with her, I was so ready to put her on my desk and make sure she was pleased after all she couldn’t seem to stop thinking so dirty. Of course, she did not take the bait she is so worried about what these people will say. I will make her understand that all of this will be hers very soon and she can do as she pleases when the time comes.

I let her get back to work and after so long I pleaded with her to eat something, but she never did. That is something I will have to nip in the bud, I cannot stand it when someone does not do what I say. I was so busy with work time got away from me, so much so that my mate came and asked me can she leave. She can come and go as she pleases because all of this will be taken care of by other people soon. I continued to work for a few more hours before I called it quits and went home.

I looked up and the week seemed to fly by, I was so busy making sure everything would be okay while I was gone that I was neglecting my mate. Granted she came into work every morning with me, but I was not paying her much attention like I should, and I would so make up for that.

Time came for the all company staff meeting to take place, and as I was letting everyone know that I would be departing I could not help but to smell her. I tried to keep my composure while talking to everyone, but she was making it impossible. When I looked over at her she was deep in thought or deep in fantasy. So I did something that she was not prepared for and should knock her out of her fantasy so that I could continue.

“Another thing before I let Jeff and Craig your new bosses take over. Me and Taylor are an item and if anyone says anything out of the way to her that will be your job, no ands, ifs, or buts about it.” I said as I looked at an embarrassed Taylor.

I let the guys take over and grabbed Taylor’s hand and led her out of the auditorium.

“Just so you know I can smell you from a distance even when you are not in my presence. So, since you are so aroused let me take care of that for you.” I whispered in her ear as I groped her in the elevator.

We made it to my office in no time and I locked the doors and frosted the windows I needed this privacy. I shoved all the s**t off my desk and put my mate on top of it as I spread her legs and removed her panties. Thank goddess she was wearing a skirt I loved easy access. I kissed her from her lips down to her sweet spot. Me and Deacon fought internally about who was the best at pleasing our mate. I could not take him anymore and blocked him out promising him a chance to play with our mate soon.

As she was about to c*m all over me there was a knock on my door that I did not want to answer, but their knocks turned in bangs and I really wondered who the f**k was at my door. I put my mate’s panties in my pocket and got up, I helped my mate to fix herself and sat her down in my seat until I was finished with the person at the door.

I unlocked the doors and once I opened those Carmen came bursting through the door.

“Were you going to tell me that you were going back to your pack to claim your alpha title. I am pregnant with the next heir of the pack you cannot just throw me away like trash” she said as she plopped down in a seat mean mugging my mate.

“He didn’t tell you that I was pregnant with his baby, did he?” Your human ass is not going to know the first thing on running a pack let alone be a strong Luna like he needs.”

“Carmen this is not the time, you can call me like everyone else during business hours” I said as I tried to get her out of the door

“Let go of me, I deserve to be Luna I put up with your s**t for far to long just for it to go to waste. You will make me Luna or else” she threatened as she got up in my face.

“Or else what, hmm what are you going to do”

“You’ll see and you better be ready” she said as she walked out laughing.

I did not know what Carmen had up her sleeve nor did I know how she received the information about me going back to my pack to claim my title.

“I’m sorry I didn’t know she would be coming here”

“It’s fine I should really get going”

“Where, I thought you were going back to my place tonight”

“I cannot I have to think all this through to make sure I am doing the right thing. I do not want to take a father away from his child, I know what it is like to grow up without a father and it sucked so much” she said with tears streaming down her face

“Baby don’t do this” I said but she just held her hand up

“Just please give me some time and I’ll have my answer before you leave”

“What, baby please do not do this I cannot handle it if you decide not to come with me. I need you so much and I cannot run my pack successfully without you by my side” I tried pleading with her

“Contact me in a few days please, I could have an answer then” she said as she departed my office.

I was so livid I punched the glass door and broke it completely. I could not think straight and all a sudden I could not breathe, and my chest started to get tight. I was passing out and Chris was the last person I saw before I hit the floor.

Carmen POV

I left his office with my goal accomplished as her I saw her leaving his office in a hurry as she took an uber.

“Hey Jeremy, what’s going on”

“Nothing much how about you”

“I’m taking care of things”

“What do you mean by that”

“Well, you said you didn’t want your friend caught up in our life, so I am going to make that happen”

“What did you do Carmen”

“Relax, I am turning the tide for the better, plus you are the one that called me begging for information about if I knew another wolf or not. You gave up the information so willingly I barely had to pull it out of you especially after I told you who I was involved with.”

“Okay do what you have to, but I don’t want my friend hurt”
