Piper and Daisy were waiting outside the front door when Joel pulled up the following morning. They"d arranged the night before, over burgers at Mooney"s, since they would be going together, for Joel to drive his car out to the flower farm.
Piper was charmed when Joel jumped out from behind the wheel of the car and rushed around to open her door. Daisy didn"t need an invitation; she jumped right in and made her way to the back, sitting next to Scout. One dog was now on each side of the car, looking out the partially rolled down windows.
"Good morning. I picked up coffee and those blueberry muffins you like. I hope you haven"t eaten breakfast," Joel said as he closed the door.
