Daisy growled low in her throat, and Piper turned back to tell the dog to stay in place. But the dog was making no attempt to move forward. Instead, she was staring at the white bunny slippers, growling and baring her teeth, showing her displeasure.
Piper tried to push the door open enough for her to get into the house, but Lily"s body prevented the door from moving.
