Aarav It’s a huge teddy bear. She quickly runs to the store, going to the teddy bear.I too went near her, watching her hug the teddy bear. “Look Aarav it’s so cuteeee na,” she hugs it tighter. “Yeah, it is,” “See how huge it is and I can easily hug it,” “I want this Aarav,” she pouts. “Then we can buy it,” “No, I can’t” she pouts sadly. “Why?” “Mom will scold me if I take this to home. She will tell me I am not a kid, and only them play with toys,” she says sadly. “But look at this it is so cute na. I really want to buy it,” she sighs. “Hm, but we can’t do anything na,” I say. She lets out a huge sigh and left the teddy bear. “Yeah, let’s go” she says, and we walk out of the store. I didn’t like seeing her sad. When she saw the teddy bear, she was so happy. “What are you thinking? Let’s go,” she says. “Shall I drop you?” I ask. “No Mr. Mehra I have my scooty and thanks for asking,” she says smiling. “Ok then bye,” I say. “Bye,” she says, and takes her scooty waving at me as she left. I like her she is not like other girls she is different. I chuckled at my thoughts going to my car then later goes home. “Mom,” I call. “I am here,” her voice answers from the kitchen.I go to the kitchen and hug her from the back, kissing her cheek. “What happened? You look happy today,” she asks. “Yes, thrilled,” I say and put my chin on her shoulder. “I see, what’s the reason?” “I met Anjali today,” “Ohoooo, so my Aarav is happy because he met his future wife,” she says in a teasing tone. “What mom, You too?” I break the hug. “Why can’t I tease my son?” she pulls my cheeks, and I remembered Anjali when she did the same, saying ‘you look so cute’. I smile thinking about her. “Ahem ahem to earth Aarav” My mom clicked her fingers, and I came out of my thoughts. Later, I speak with her for some time then went to my room. I pick up my mobile, thinking to message her. ‘Reached home safely,’ I send. After five minutes I get a reply. ‘Yes just now,’ she replies. ‘Okay, so what else,’ I send her.‘Really Aarav? What else?’ my subconscious scolds. ‘Nothing much. You know I asked my mom about the teddy bear and she as usual said no' ‘So sad’ I answer. ‘What are you doing?’ she asks and for some time we chatted. ‘Ok bye’ she messages me. ‘Bye’ I reply. Later I have lunch. Mom told me we are going for buying rings for the engagement and ask me to come home in the afternoon. I tell her I will be on time. Next day, I go to the office and as I promised I go home in the afternoon. “You came home. I cooked lunch and we will leave after having our lunch,” mom says. My dad went to Delhi for some meeting. I am the CEO but he is the MD of our company so he also has to attend meetings. After having lunch we leave for Anjali’s home. Her mom welcomes us and we sit on the couch. “Where is Anjali, Sailaja?” mom asked Anjali’s mom. “She went to the office Ragini . She will come soon” sailaja aunty replies. “It’s ok. I thought she was stuck in some work,” mom said to and she nodded her head. Just then, we heard the doorbell and aunty goes to open the door. “Mom, I already told you na I have an important meeting today. Why did you ask me to come home? Did you know my boss literally yelled at me,” she shouts at her mom. “Anjali behave,” Sailaja aunty says looking at us. Anjali didn’t see us and continues shouting. “What behave, mom? You know na how important that meeting is. Why are you silent? What was that so-called important work that you asked me to come home?”Aunty silently turns towards us. “What are you looking at—“ she turns to us, widening her eyes. “What Sailaja didn’t you tell her we are going shopping?” mom asks aunty. “No Ragini if I told her, then she would’ve definitely said no because today she has an important meeting,” aunty says to mom. Anjali continues staring. “We are sorry Anjali we didn’t know you had a meeting today,” mom says going to her. “No, aunty you need not say sorry. It’s fine, I left a friend in charge and came home,” she says, trying to stay calm. “So shall we go?” aunty asks her. “Where?” she asks. “To the jewellery shop,” mom says, and she nods. “Change Anjali,” aunty says. “Mom, I am not wearing a nightdress. It’s an office dress and everyone wears this so there is no need to change and moreover it will take time and we will be late," she says. Her mom frowns. God this girl is crazy. We have a look at her face when she looks at us suddenly.Soon we left in my car for the jewellery store. *********
