Chapter 42 – We won’t ask

It isn’t as if he wasn’t thinking of it as well, but still… aren’t they rushing? They didn’t move for a while. Hannah couldn’t look at him and only stared at her hands on another button of his shirt. “Are you sure…?” He lightly caressed her cascading hair. It was soft and shiny. As a reply, she leaned forward and pressed a kiss on his neck. He raised an eyebrow at that, then he groaned when she lightly sucked on his skin. He swallowed hard before flipping her over. He pressed her down on the bed. Her surprise was evident but her body already melted at his sudden action. She moaned when he ran a hand from her hips up to the side of her chest. “Won’t you feel uncomfortable?” He decided to take it slow. If she decides to stop, he’ll let her go. “I like your weight on me.” She replied as she took a deep breath, watching his expressions closely. “I heard it would be painful the first time.” Her face which only regained its normal color began to turn red again. “I heard it would be pleasurable, after the initial pain.” Her reply made him groan, and so he buried his face in her neck. His breath tickled her. She reached out to embrace him. Her legs were in an awkward position as she was straddling him moments before. As he shifted and moved up her body, she could feel his manhood pressed where her legs are joined. Her inner walls clenched at an imagined scene in her head.   She clutched the clothes on his back. Are they really going to do this? They undressed and clumsily fumbled with each other until they figured out what to do. He was smiling, the embarrassment forgotten. This is new to both of them. She can’t exactly question his inexperience, but he’d like this to be a good experience for the two of them. “Tell me if it feels good or if it’s making you uncomfortable.” “Hmm…” He kissed her again before positioning himself on her entrance. She felt feverish. They sweated a lot as they explored each other’s bodies. It wasn’t bad for their first time. After a few tries, she’d decided they should rest. He tackled her on the bed, not letting her get dressed. “I’d like to feel you like this.” He had her back pressed to his front. He carefully covered them with a thin blanket. She sighed, the temperature in the room is making her feel hot. Her hair is a tangled mess. Aaron pulled them on one side as he pressed kisses on her nape and shoulder. “You’re bothering me.” She muttered, which made him froze. He hasn’t heard a word of complaint from her until now. She felt how he stiffened at her back. She sighed as she turned to face him. “I meant that you make me want to do it again. You won’t be able to get enough rest if we continue.” She avoided his eyes as she says it. “I see.” He relaxed at her explanation. “I should really get dressed.” After a while, she implored him and he let her go. He watched as she slipped back into her dress. When she returned to his side, he gladly embraced her again. As she thought, they almost overslept. There was a knock on the door, then a voice that announced, “Sir Aaron, your presence is being sought at the dining hall. The others have already gathered and are waiting.” The voice she heard was hesitant. She quickly shook him awake. With his questioning gaze, she explained the situation. He almost cursed. Still whispering, she told him, “Quick, the servant needs your reply.” He went close to the door before saying, “Tell them I’m coming. I apologize for oversleeping.” “I shall relay your message, then. Thank you.” The poor servant quickly fled. Before he was taken in as an individual with magic, he was considered as a servant as well. It feels odd to call him Sir Aaron, but as his current position is deemed high, they had to show him some respect. He doesn’t have the time to mull over such things. He quickly took a shower. When he came out, Hannah laid a set of new clothes on his bed. She was gone, though. They met on the way to the dining hall. Her hair was still wet from her quick bath. They couldn’t keep them waiting. They both bowed and apologized for their tardiness as they entered the hall. “It’s understandable. You’ve been to a long journey after all. Eat first, then we’ll revise our plan before going.” The king was lenient for a reason. Only Nate eyed them differently. She went to Hannah’s room earlier but she wasn’t there. And her cheeks are noticeably rosy, blushing. Hannah explained again how to use the potion. One vial was handed to everyone and she also kept one for herself. Then, the king explained their plan. Queen Elise won’t be joining them for now. They would try and directly transport near the dark lands. “What will you do while we’re gone?” Aaron whispered next to her. “Hmm? I’ll probably get Pyro and train with him.” “That’s good.” He was worried she’d feel lonely. Her sparkling eyes as she watched him assured him, he has no reason to worry. It’s odd. Although he worried because of her before, it wasn’t to this extent. He was merely concerned, but now… Right, this is how it is being in a relationship. You care more for the other person. As the others prepared, mainly Alec who returned to his quarters, he had time to watch her. When he noticed her wincing, he reached out to tap her hand. The moment she looked over she saw his raised eyebrow before she winced again. She gestured for him to lean close, then she whispered, “I’m a little sore. It’s fine.” His mind turned blank for a moment. “You should rest.” Though they haven’t done much last night, it was still her first time. She chuckled at his expression, “It’s not so bad. I can manage.” She tapped the back of his hand in assurance. The moment Alec returned, they formed a big circle in the hall and she stepped aside. “It probably won’t be long.” Nate gave them proper expectations. “One hour, at least.” The king hoped for it, so they can achieve more. “I’ll see you later.” Aaron voiced out, surprising Hannah as he stated it in a normal tone. She smiled. As soon as they appeared near the dark lands, they moved north. The king already explained that warriors could be stationed at the last place they scouted. If someone managed to report the incident to the dark prince, that is. Someone would have seen the dead bodies anyway. They moved cautiously. Nate lagged behind next to Aaron. Vince was on his other side. “I’m guessing something happened. We won’t ask.” Nate noted. Aaron rolled his eyes at her. Yeah? So, why are you bringing it up? Nate grinned at his expression, interpreting it easily. “Have you finally decided? Hannah’s status won’t be an issue.” It’s very much like her to bring up his core concerns. The few months he spent with them were memorable. He still couldn’t believe how much he let them know about himself and they were actually sincere in trying to understand him. “She mentioned it.” He replied nonchalantly. A look from Vince told her to stop teasing. She waved before going ahead of them. “I noticed something else.” Aaron sighed as he turned to the prince. “And that is?” “You were together last night, weren’t you?” Aaron couldn’t refute that. They might have come to her room after all. They always go to her for advice, including himself. Being reminded of last night, he also became flustered. “As Nate said, we won’t ask. We’re glad for the two of you. We just hope you’ll be each other’s strength.” He patted him firmly on the back. “We’ll do that.” He replied absent-mindedly. Then, the prince went on to talk about what he and Nate have discovered in the few days he was gone. The subject was fascinating. A pity the old man didn’t want to leave his quiet home. Well, if he were him, he would probably do the same. Suddenly, he imagined a home like that of the old man’s. With Hannah. In a quiet and peaceful place. With a stream of water or falls. Where they can watch sunset or sunrise, and the stars at night. He exhaled. His mind thought too far ahead into the future. The king signaled for them to use the potion. After a minute, they stepped into the dark lands. Amazingly, the potion did work. They could clearly see the surroundings and each other. Just like before, he brought up the rear. Alec was the closest to him. He hadn’t seen his magic yet, but he heard it has something to do with wind. Corrine’s was water. Alec looked at Aaron enviously. The guy was confirmed to be able to pluck someone’s eyes out if they’re annoying and tear their limbs away from their bodies. He, however, has no ability to command the wind so as to prevent someone from breathing. It would have been very useful in defeating enemies, and by defeat he meant kill. Such a pity. He was trained a warrior; the sight of blood and dead bodies has no effect on him. Corrine was almost like him. Though she can command the element of water, she couldn’t control it if it’s within someone’s body. He’d been wondering about it. How can this guy directly use his ability on a person? Is it because his wasn’t an element like his and Corrine? Manipulation. It encompasses anything, from objects to animals as well as people. He couldn’t accept that this guy has a better ability than he does. As a person, Alec’s focus is limited to a few things. And yet he uses a good chunk of his brain cells too well to improve himself. It’s not so bad.
