Stay or Leave

Chapter 2

I caught mommy ordering the maids to fix the house, I approached her, and I gave her a back hug. "Happy Birthday, mom!" I said while smiling

"Thanks, sweetie. Have you taken your lunch?"

I shook. "Mom, leave it to them. They already know what they're going to do; it's their year routine." I smiled and said, "You must rest; it's your day." I said, "Anyway, why don't you prepare something pretentious like dad's birthday?"

"Dad does that for the business, and it's not just a birthday; it's mixed with work. So I'd prefer something like this; at least only those closest to me in life are with me on my special day."

"Yeah, right." Mommy sat on the couch first. "Mom, remember Dj?"

Mommy looked at me. "Your Aunt Lucy, son?"

I nodded. "Why didn't Dj come back here? Tito and Tita are here; why didn't he come back with Tita then?"

"Because her grandmother said before she disappeared that she wanted her grandson to graduate in Switzerland so that someone could stay at her grandmother's house. Anyway, why did you ask?"

I met Loraine and Bella in front of our gate, and our driver picked them up; too much hassle if I was the one to pick them up. "I can taste delicious food again." Bella said while smiling, "The one who cooked is still a famous chef, doesn't it feel good?" it added.

Loraine's just shook; if it wasn't for my friend, I could say she's dead hungry.

We went in and went straight to the backyard because of the party, my cousin and I was just guests, on the side of Mommy and Villafuerte family (parents of my first love) and my friend. Dad is only a child, so I don't have a cousin on his side.

My cousins are here; they are the Villafuerte family who hasn't arrived yet, we approached mom, and Loraine and Bella greeted mom.

And sat down at the long table, where the banquet was, and my cousins were also sitting, my two cousins and they were twins, "Are you gonna handle your dad's company, Gianna?" Kuya Gab asked me.

I nodded. "I'm not ready for big responsibilities yet."

"You should. You're the only successor of your family; who do you want to handle it?" Ate Louvie said, Kuya Gab's twin.

I haven't been able to answer yet, because I feel embarrassed. "O my gosh, Villafuerte family is here," Bella whispered.

So I turned around to see where they were, mommy, and I was surprised to see who Tito and Tita were with.

No way! I didn't expect that today we would meet; I thought he wasn't coming back yet.

Bella shrugged me because I was stunned when I saw my first love again. "His back, his back!" Thrilled, Bella said.

"We know Bell; we see him." Annoyed, Loraine says here.

"Is he God's favorite? He seems to have it all. He's too handsome to be human." Amazed, Bella said.

I agree with what Bella said; I don't think he hits like this with his puberty, his head-turner, neck breaker. His too manly, his body you can tell he went to the gym.

"Gianna!" I went back in disgust when I heard mommy call me, so I stood up and approached them.

I approached Tita and greeted them, "Remember my son? His your childhood friend, ija"

"You only have one child, auntie," I said jokingly.

Dj looked at me after his mommy told him. I nodded slowly; I also immediately averted my eyes; I couldn't bear to stare at each other for a long time.

"Let's sit down first; the food is getting cold," mommy said, so I followed them, and I sat down next to them again, Loraine.

"Girl, don't be so obvious," Bella whispered, laughing at me.

I tap her to stop.

We started eating, and they started talking again. Are there only three or four of us who can't relate to their conversation?

I stood up and told Loraine that I would just take my phone to my room.

I walked inside, and when I got in, I went straight upstairs. When I entered the room, the phone was ringing; I picked it up and looked at who it was. I turned it off when I saw Kenneth calling.

When I came out of the room, I caught up with Dj as if he was looking for someone because he opened all the doors he would pass.

He stopped when he saw me. "Your mom is looking for you," he said

He seemed different than I expected; he was so nice back then. But now it looks like the cold is approaching him.

I nodded and preceded him down, and I went straight to where they were.

"Mom."

Mommy turned to me. "Where have you been?" Mommy asked.

"I just took my phone" and showed the phone I was holding.

"I see. Join Dj; maybe he's bored." I frowned.

Tita was already looking at me. I turned to Dj, who was approaching us as if he had no idea what was going on.

I turned to Dj; his face was just serious approaching us. I would have approached him, but he suddenly turned around, so I confronted mommy. Mommy just smiled at me so I could do nothing but chase him.

I was going to approach him, but he was talking to someone on the phone, so he just waited for it to finish before I approached him.

"What are you doing here?"

I was surprised when he suddenly appeared in front of me; he had just finished talking on the phone. Mygooosh 30mins he's really soaked in the phone. Ts!

"Maybe you're bored, so I'll just go with you."

"I'm fine. No need to do that," and he left me standing there.

Then I wait for him? Will he just leave me?

So annoyed, I followed him to get back to the table where they mommy.

"Oh, why is he frowning at you?" Bella asked.

I shook Ts. If he doesn't want to, it's not a big deal.

"Maybe first love rejected you?"

I suddenly looked at Loraine. "No! And excuse me, I don't like him anymore, duh!" I said irritably.

Bella laughed. "Let see." I just rolled my eyes.

They said goodbye when the party was over, Dj approached me, and I was surprised when he snatched my phone from me as if he was dialing. "Hey!

"I'll call you tomorrow." He said with a smile.
