Yara's visit to the king of Meha, king Zaz was more of a marriage proposal from a king to a woman who was already married to a man that loved her so much. Yara was first irritated by that invitation but she didn't tell her husband, Rega about it. She decided to honor the King's invitation and to hear from his mouth and be assured that he was the one that actually sent her the message. Even though the message carried King Zaz's seal she was not yet convinced. She was aware that the king's wife died a year ago but to her he could have chosen for himself a wife from all the ladies of the kingdom of Meha instead he chose to write a love letter to a woman that was already married to another. She honored the invitation and on her arrival the doors of the throne room were flown open to welcome her in the presence of the great king of Meha. King Zaz on sighting her approach could no longer hold his feelings. He was moved with passion and love for the woman that he had to stand to receive her. When she was almost upon him she stopped and looked around the throne room, from one face of an official to another until she finally rested her eyes on king Zaz of Meha. The king was smiling at her but she was not responding instead she frowned and her countenance did not please the king. He stepped down the steps and walked up to her, holding her shoulders he asked, "Why did you delay before honoring my invitation"
"I wanted to be sure that the invitation was truly from you king Zaz before honoring it" answered Yara. The king laughed and kept holding onto her shoulders.
"Now that you know what do you say?" asked the king as he ran his eyes all over her body. Yara was endowed with so much beauty and the king just couldn't resist her. He kept looking at her, waiting for her response.
"Tell me what you want from me" asked Yara.
"You, I want you Yara, I have always wanted you but you have been running away from me and that is no good. Tell me, what do you want me to do in order for me to have you forever" asked the king.
"No one lives forever and so you can't have me forever" said Yara and the king laughed. "You see' he said, " You are not only beautiful but you are intelligent and wise"
"But you know that I am married my king. How can a married woman marry another man while still in marriage?" Yara asked and the king asked everyone in the room to leave. All the officials and the guards left, leaving Yara alone with the king of Meha. The king paced in front of Yara before he stopped.
"And who is this husband that I have been hearing of?" he asked.
"If you have heard of him it means you have been making enquiries of me my king and that is no good for a king" she said and this aggravated the king.
"Enough, enough of your show of wisdom. You cannot tell me what to do. I am the king and I can make enquiry of anyone I want to for this is a land that belongs to me and anyone in it is my subject. Tell me about this your husband. What does he do and how strong is his hold on you?" the king asked and Yara smiled.
"You will get mad with jealous if I start to explain the love he has for me. It bigger than the ocean and as deep as the abyss. He loves me and without me he can't do anything. I love him too and I don't dream leaving him for any man on earth" she said and watched to see the King's reaction.
"You said all these in order to annoy the king, your king but I refused to be annoyed for I am the king and must behave like one but you have brought down my ego before a commoner and that is foolishness on your side. You will abandon that your husband and come begging me" the king spoke and dismissed her.
Yara remained standing for a while before she said, "Is this why the king invited me over?" she asked.
The king turned and looked at her for sometimes and did not say any more word. Yara left the palace and the king was filled with thoughts. He gnashed had his teeth severally and asked his messenger to call his spy. The spy arrived minutes after and the king whispered to him and he left.

Yara was inside her chamber that night when Rega entered without her noticing him. He had sneaked in through the door while her eyes were concentrated on the papers in her hand. She tickled her from the back and she was startled and realising it was him smiled and touched his jaw.
"What are you reading?" he had asked but Yara had refused him taking a look. "I want to see what you are reading" He said and tried to snatch it away from her but she tore it to pieces and chewed it. Rega looked at her suspiciously before he sat on the bed. Yara equally sat and Rega began to look at her again, this time his eyes were filled with questions that demanded answers.
"Listen it was nothing" she said.
"It was something. Why hide it if it was nothing" asked the husband but Yara stood up and left.

The King was in his chamber when one of his officials knocked and entered.
"What is it that can not wait?" He asked.
"People have started talking again and this time it is about you not getting married a year after your wife died. They want to have a Queen and there is no powerful kingdom without a Queen" said the official. The king looked at him and looked away, sipped his drink and sat dejectedly on the bed.
"What are they saying exactly?" he asked.
"That their King needs to give them. a Queen. It is high time they had a Queen, a Queen who would advise them in the open market, a Queen who would give them an heir to your throne, a Prince that will rule after you. They say what they need to say and you should do what you need to do my king and get yourself a wife. The officials can organise a beauty contest wherein you will select the apple of your eye and the kingmaker will crown her your Queen. The people are waiting for such a day eagerly and we your council are eagerly waiting for you to give us the go ahead instruction" The official finished speaking and the king sighed deeply and sipped his drink again.
"Why are you not saying a word my king?' asked the official.
" Have i not been saying a word since you came here. Do not organise any beauty contest for me. I already know who will be my wife and she will be my wife this year"
"Who is this person that the king has chosen for himself, this woman must be lucky for our king to regard her so highly and to choose her among the rest. Where is she so that I can order the women of the royal home to bring her and prepare her for what lies ahead. If it is the women we all saw in the throne room the other day we are happy and solidly behind you. She is beautiful and Queen_like and she...
"She is married" the king broke it to him and avoided looking at his face as he sipped his drink once again.
"What did you say?" asked the official.
"I said she is married. She is married and I am not comfortable every night as I lay on this bed knowing that the woman I hold dear to my heart is sleeping on another bed with another man" the king drank the whole wine in the cup in a gulp and hit his fist on the table. The official, after thinking for a while sighed and continued, "You cannot marry a woman that is already married and...
" I can and I will and nothing will stop me. Not you, not all the officials and not even the entire people in this kingdom. I am the king and I do what pleases me and what will benefit the land" He rose to leave and the official said something that drew his attention.
"You can't do whatever you like, not in this case. It is a taboo to marry a woman that is already married. Such a thing can ruin a man"
"You and the rest of the officials just wait and watch me do it" he stormed out.
