Back in the palace of Aba kingdom the king of Aba was seen returning to the palace with his men and he was riding on top of the beast the whole land had heard about and had suffered so much death and loss from. The whole people waiting in front of the gate for refuge got up and were holding onto each other in fear of the beast. They started murmuring about what they were seeing. If their king was riding on top of the beast it means the beast had become submissive to him and the people wondered how.
The palace gate keepers raised the gates and allowed their king and his men in. The king's countenance was not pleasing and he was not waving at anybody. He simply rode in, stopped the beast in the compound, dismounted from it and began to walk up the steps of the royal house. The beast roared and the people outside the city walls gasped, holding onto each other fearfully.
The king entered his throne room and sat on his throne. The same men he returned with joined him. The officials had started asking questions amongst themselves. If the king could ride the beast does it mean he had defeated the beast. Does it mean the people of Aba are now safe from the bloody activities of the beast? They kept asking one another as they reached the throne room and stood before the king whose head was bent. One of the officials cleared his throat and began, "My king, you are welcome from the trip you embarked on. We have seen that you have returned healthy and has reoccupied your seat. We want to throw a party for you for your safe return but before that we would like to know the nature of the animal you came home with"
The king raised up his head and the officials were terrified at the changes on his face, the scars appearing like lines and the red eyes.
"What you see outside there is the ancient beast that has terrorized Aba for centuries" the king said and the officials looked at one another, not sure if they should be happy or scared.
"My lord, we are happy that you are saying this and we are confident in you that you are doing the right thing but can we know one more thing; has the beast been tamed?" asked another official.
"Well tamed and so this leads to what I have to say to all of you in here and to others who are not here; from today henceforth there is nothing like Right To Opinion of commoners. Anyone who must speak or suggest anything in and outside this palace must make sure that they are not speaking against or countering my order. Anyone found guilty of that will be hanged. That aside, I must tell us too that I have made up my mind to extend my dominance in other kingdoms which means that we will be claiming whatever we lay our hands on, in order to grow this kingdom into a world of it's own"
The officials could not believe their ears. Has their king suddenly gone insane and was there something terribly wrong somewhere? One of the officials stepped forward and bowed before the king.
"With all due respect my king we have to know why the sudden decision? We are the council and should be... before the official could finish one of the men that returned with the king used his sharpened sword to cut off the head of his head. The rest were stunned as they covered their mouths with their hands. The king got up.
" Anyone else has anything to say?" asked the king but everywhere was quite.
"Good, he continued, " Get ready to hunt down Adere and his followers"
