Reni swam out of the river and continued to run. At a point she stopped abruptly, having heard a growling she slowly turned her head backward and her eyes beheld a leopard. The leopard's long tongue was out as it salivated. Reni knew that she had to run or she would die right there. She began to take a step and the leopard began to move closer. She stopped and it stopped. She made a move the leopard made a move too. She looked around and at once began to run. The leopard began to pursue her. She ran, falling and getting up. On reaching the cliff she could not control her steps and she tumbled. The leopard also jumped. The falling attracted the attention of Adaeze who had now laid Chaze to rest. She watched as Reni and the leopard fell. She didn't recognise Reni at the moment but she knew someone was being pursued. She picked her sword and waited. Just then she saw someone swimming out of the river hastily. On a closer look she recognised it was Reni. She looked behind her and saw the leopard after her and began to run forward.

The leopard saw her approaching and began to run back. This marveled Adaeze as she stood and watched it run. "Kill it!!!" Shouted Reni who was already standing beside Chaze. Adaeze did not move as she watched the leopard run. "That thing would have killed me!!!" Reni said angrily.

Adaeze without a word moved to where Chaze was lying down and dropped her sword beside him. Reni saw Chaze for the first time and ran to hold him but Adaeze pushed her away and she fell heavily. "What do you want to do Reni?"

"I just wanted to make sure he was fine" said Reni as she stood.

"He is fine. He is recovering. You should let him be" said Adaeze. Reni dusted herself and Adaeze saw the wounds on her back. She ignored it and sat. 

"I survived everything just to find you" said Reni.

"Or you did just to find him?" Adaeze asked while referring to Chaze. "Because he left Mazuba palace looking for me and if you were that important he would not have left you to die in that cell" Adaeze stated further.

"What came over you Adaeze? I like him yes but what happened in Mazuba was nobody's fault. We survived. Chaze is a distraction, so let him go. Look how he distracted everything. I know you like him. I like him too so that's why we must let him go, now" said Reni.

Adaeze looked at Chaze and stood up. "Chaze is a Mazubian and you are right. We will return to Mazuba and destroy that palace. At the meantime we are going to leave Chaze here. When he wakes up he should find his way"

Reni hugged Adaeze and both ladies left the cliff side, leaving Chaze on the ground.
