Chapter four

A marriage of mutual benefit

Logan alongside his secretary, Austin already moved to the new house his father prepared for him. To his amazement, he met a brand new car packed in front of his with appointed guards. He could only laugh as he wondered what came over his father. Without wasting time, Logan set to work as he held a meeting with those working in the company. There and then, he laid his rules down which surprised everyone as they thought he would go according to his father's rule. But Logan keen on bringing a change to the company's system devised his own rules. He appointed the young as well as the old to work. After setting everything in place, it was time for his marriage. He could think of nothing as he want used to things like that. He invited Jack to help him out.

"Ahh boss, you called the right person. I'm the master in anything relationship." Jack said as he beamed at the clueless Logan.

"So how can I get a wife with the period of time giving? Don't you think it's too short a time?"

"Not at all. In fact, you can get a wife in three days but note, it's a contract marriage."

"Contract marriage? What's that..."

"The lady in question will sign an agreement with you. You will as well input the number of months or years in which the contract will last. First of all, bring your phone." Jack requested as he downloaded a dating app to Logan's phone.

"Now see, I've logged you into this app. Just go through the pictures of the ladies here. The one that suites your taste, text her and meet up on a date. Then you can now bring the contract in."

"This is a long process, just do everything." Logan sighed as he furrowed his brows in confusion.

"Here! See this lady, she says her name is Emmy, let me set up a date for you two."

Logan could only watch as he dint understand anything Jack was Saying. He wondered how he knew things like this.

Emily sat beside Sophia as Sophia helped her with the process as promised.

"You have to go on a date with the guy first."

"A date? I never went for one."

"But you have to go for this." Sophia convinced.

"See! See! Someone added you." Sophia exclaimed as she showed the phone to Emily.

"Loggs? Is that a name?"

"Of course. Oh my God! He asked you out on a date."

"What??". Emily asked as Sophia pulled her for a dance.

"It worked, it worked. Let's get you dressed baby." Sophia said excitedly. Lost Emily was pulled away.

Logan was driven to the saloon for a makeover as this was his first time going on a date as well. Jack knowing how naive Logan was in this aspect, did all the planning and gave instructions out to the hair maker to give him something nice. Logan was looking so handsome after he was made over. He marvelled when he saw himself at the mirror.

"Oh my God! I think I'm in love with you boss." Jack teased playfully as Logan scoffed and headed out to the restaurant he Jack picked out for him and his date. He got to the restaurant and sat down nervously waiting for the lady. Emily worn one of Sophia dresses as she wasn't the dressing type. Sophia did her makeup and looked her over satisfactory. She ordered a taxi for Emily.

"Emily, you mustn't disappoint me. Take hold of this opportunity so you can reshape your studio. Ok?" Sophia asked as Emily nodded in approval. She entered the taxi as she was driven to the supposed venue.

Emily got to the restaurant and needed to confirm if Loggs was the one in suit. She dialed the number she was given to call only to be picked by Jack directing her to their direction. Emily all of a sudden became shy as she went to meet them. She was not disappointed, the so called Loggs was handsome. She shook hands with Jack before sitting directly opposite Logan who was lost in the beauty in his front. The clearing of throat by Jack jeered Logan back as he put on a warm smile acknowledging Emily's presence. They got to know more about each other before they stated eating. Emily showed her true nature and are with no concern in the world.

"I would also like you to sign a contract to seal this agreement. You need this marriage as well as I need it." Logan started.

"Alright." Emily said as she went through the contract.

"I'd move to your house? No need of that since I have my own house " Emily said with widened eyes.

"We have to convince our family. If we live apart do you think they will believe us? And again we aren't staying in the same room."

Emily reasoned it and found it reasonable so agreed. When she saw the amount of money she would be getting, her face lit up with a smile. After everything was settled, he gave her transport fare to return home.

"I will have my secretary pick you up first thing tomorrow miss Emily."

"Hun...so fast... alright." She said as she left the two men for home.

Logan breathed out in relief as he had been holding his breath a long while due to nervousness.

"You did great boss. I'm sure she fell for you already." Jack commended. Logan eyed him as he pushed him out of his way to enter the car. Sophia was waiting impatiently for Emily's return. She jumped too her feet as she saw a taxi approaching. She opened the door even before Emily could. She needed to know the outcome.

"How was it?"

"Chill, at least let me enter." Emily said laughing out.

"Tell me now so I can know how to deal with you "

"Well, it was successful, I'm moving to his house tomorrow." Emily said earning a scream from Sophia as she hugged Emily tightly.
